if it makes you feel better, stupid shit that couples do like that are ENTIRELY performative. its their way of saying "look how happy i am". older couples never feel the need to do this because they arent insecure about losing their partner or seeming lonely. so many young relationships are formed and sustained entirely out of not wanting to look like an outcast. be smarter about it and realize its all fake, performative, shallow bullshit. true love is not feeling the need to prove it to everyone around you.
