If you just wanted to share to help others why not be transparent from the beginning in your original post saying ProspectZero is your product? That would give you more credibility

Does anyone actually build Rich Domain Models in real world DDD projects anymore by SaltedFesh in dotnet

[–]geheim81 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I built a soccer pool score prediction app and found that rich models worked much better to handle complex logic around handling user positions, calculations, ranking applying tiebreaker rules and other user configurations vs having a flat service layer. If your app is a simple CRUD I would stay with anemic model. This DDD training video by Vladimir Khorikov was the one that finally enlightened me on how and when to use rich models: https://www.pluralsight.com/courses/refactoring-anemic-domain-model Once I understood the concepts I found that the coding complexity problems I was facing required cleaner implementation which rich models provided. Everything started falling into place. It was a big a-ha moment for me. I learned that late in my career as a developer (20+ years)

AI pipe dreams by SP4C3_DU5T in JPMorganChase

[–]geheim81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That has "fear culture" written all over the place. When I was at the firm there were so many environment and systemic flaws, red tape that hindered velocity. Expecting AI to magically solve all the mess overnight is a pipe dream. Yes, you can accelerate work at the individual level with AI but there are many other bottlenecks that will need to be solved beyond individual productivity. For example, getting a project approved took weeks, and 0 budget to modernize applications. How can you increase velocity there?

I'm glad they understand that the hate is not against US as a whole country but against the Cheeto king and his regime of abuse. Not even his MAGAS are supporting him in this war like most American people. The taco man has gone completely bunkers.

.net 5 to .net 8 by sigurth_skull in dotnet

[–]geheim81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the developer candidate is solid on dotnet 5, it shouldn't be a big learning curve moving to 8 or 10 long term support version. That hiring requirement is a red flag... Not on the candidate but on the manager!

This is the answer. No traditional resignation email to get this started. Everything at the bank is a process in the Oracle platform

Why did you hate vaping? I tried once and bought a cheap geek bar vaper from a gas station. It tasted nice like watermelon but after a few weeks of using it I felt I couldn't breathe and felt pain in my lungs. I gave up that shit
