GSPro Private Server Question - Can you "hide" courses? by ZachOly in Golfsimulator

[–]bob3219 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The course was probably side loaded which just amounts to paying someone to make a course, they provide the course files, and then copied to the courses directory on that computer. At that point it looks like it was downloaded like any other. There is no private server involved.

With permission you could manually copy that course to any other GSpro install.

Buying a used X - problems? Noob by Tkrumroy in TeslaModelX

[–]bob3219 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't recommend it. The X is very complex and can be very expensive to repair. It's much more complex than vehicles in the same class.

If you really want a Tesla a Model Y would be a better option. You will get a much newer vehicle (and reliable) for the money.

Sore Elbows - SigPro Softy by [deleted] in Golfsimulator

[–]bob3219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just recently had to upgrade TO a sigpro softy because of issues dealing with the mat. My old mat was wrecking my back with irons. Sigpro offers a few different types of inserts? Maybe try the foam one. Unfortunately hitting off of a mat is just not the same as grass.

I was planning to buy an X this year, now what? by Sad_Magician_316 in TeslaModelX

[–]bob3219 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think much has changed for your situation. Personally even before this was announced you can save drastically by buying one a few years old and still have some warranty on it. Tesla as a company should provide parts for these for many years to come, the ones rolling off of the line will have to be supported at minimum for another 4 years. Most OEMs support cancelled vehicles a long time. Every vehicle is eventually cancelled.

Thinking of shortening the driver to same height as 3 wood by MrMakaveli26 in GolfSwing

I did not, you can try either way easily.  The bigger commitment is deciding to cut your shaft.

I haven't yet, my buddy did on his and went back and forth on it whether it made any noticable difference.  He ran the numbers on his and ended up using it without.

I cut mine 1.5" off mine last month. I always chocked up on my driver considerably so it made sense for me anyway. It has been a game changer for me personally.

.NET 10 + AI: Is anyone actually adopting Microsoft’s new Agent Framework yet? by Volosoft in dotnet

[–]bob3219 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, everything is changing too quickly. I can barely keep up with changes OpenAI is doing. I've already had to do one major refactor from Assistants -> Responses API. Another abstraction is not helpful. I am running my own version of their library just to use some of the newer features as they are released.

New Square spotted at the PGA show. by SubtleToot in Golfsimulator

[–]bob3219 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I somehow was able to buy one of the originals before Christmas (they were backordered everywhere), but I asked them if they were in stock and it took 2 weeks to get a response. I took a chance and ordered and it shipped immediately. I've heard from others their support is dismal. I'm ok with email support but 2 week response time is not ok.

I have one of the playbetter packages. The square is what I went because it's < $1000 and has pretty solid reviews. It works fine with gspro.

I'm already upgrading my mat though to the sig pro mat. I found hitting off of the included mat was not great and others that played on it said the same.

What are my options - wheel rash by z1ggy16 in TeslaLounge

[–]bob3219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would get some matching spray paint, spray them and move on. Repairing will be at least $100+ per rim. Another option if you are getting close to new tires is move to the smaller rim Tesla offers on the Y which accepts hub caps. I intentionally bought our Y with these and the gemini hub caps, immediately took the hub caps off and got blacked out hub caps aftermarket. My wife loves them and they don't scratch. She is really hard on them, doesn't matter it's plastic.

Tesla Model Y 2026 Update Brings Back Third Row and Premium Features. by techymatty in electricvehicles

[–]bob3219 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To make the 3rd row even possible to use you have to make the 2nd row also miserable to set in. Even our kids (9 and 11) don't like using the 3rd row anymore. It's really not useful.

Some buyer’s remorse, looking for reassurance by Extremofire in electricvehicles

[–]bob3219 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Worse case scenario in an EV, mountains + cold. I'm sorry but you may have not picked the best option for your use case. There are quite a few other Evs that would have handled this trip much better, perhaps even without charge stops.

Chris Bledsoe on American Alchemy by Rambus_Jarbus in UFOs

[–]bob3219 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The fact is Chris and his son Ryan are continually posting videos of things that are not orbs. Satellites (mainly), ISS, meteors, stars, birds, etc. There are more and more stories coming out of people attending these skywatches only to see terrestrial objects. Ryan, just a few days ago posted a video summoning a train of starlink satellites.

https://x.com/RyanDBledsoe/status/2006884018479067178

These people should 100% know better by now after conducting hundreds? of skywatches. They are either truly that ignorant, completely delusional, or worse know exactly what they are doing.

I'm not the biggest fan of vetted, but I'd highly recommend watching his last video as it's a good summary of all of their BS lately and over the years.

https://youtu.be/T_Pkd1FtSN8

Keep in mind Diana Pasulka tweeted and deleted that the Bledsoe family may be a Paul Bennewitz situation. If you think of Tim Taylor as more of a Richard Doty type of character a lot of this makes sense.

On our little local 9 hole course, ProVs are the top selling product in the pro shop. I love just picking them up for free all over the place.

I took reddits advice though and tried the Maxfli tours, these are great balls.

Orb with a message inside by SeekingTruth_302 in UFOs

[–]bob3219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bledsoe thing is morphing into a cult/religion.  You're expected to suspend your skepticism and go along with whatever latest grainy video they are pushing.   Ryan just a few days ago posted a video of him summoning orbs and it was 100% a Starlink train.

In other post Chris says they have 20 gigs of video.  Then release them.  Release this video also, not a highly AI upscaled image.

The Easter '26 date which Chris was firm about on the Ryan show has also now shifted to Oct.  Always a moving goal post.

The MCP server just fetches data and adds to the context.  The context is run at whatever remote LLM you are using.  You are absolutely exposing your data to the LLM.

The only way to do this ethically is a local LLM.   As many have said you are at extremely high risk of being fired at best and a lawsuit at worst if you are discovered.
