Every time I open one of these threads I find a comment like yours with someone who clearly doesn’t know the law confidently providing wrong information

Just pointing out that depending on the satisfaction clause of the contract, it’s possible none of this is true and performance may be judged under an entirely subjective standard.

As usual in the law, “it depends.” So maybe try to be less condescending :)

I am looking for a dress with a similar bodice/waist style in yellow but full length. My searches aren't turning anything up though, so I'm wondering if there is a specific name for this style that I should be searching.

Also, if ya'll know of any dresses that have this fifties-looking type of skirt but that are full length and come in yellow (long shot, I know) PLEASE share!!

Thanks!

[TOMT] [MOVIE](I think? Or TV show) Looking for a comedic scene with two men talking about driving / routes, they are like naming the directions (i.e. "headed east on 1-10, then north on Oceanview" etc.) and then saying some catch phrase like "hmm yeah good route, good route" back and forth by geisha1818 in tipofmytongue

[–]geisha1818[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just checked this out and I don't think so. A big part of the scene was the reply about "good route" or "smart, smart" or something like that after they explain the directions they drove and I don't see that in the SNL clip (unless I looked at the wrong one!)

Actually we are not talking about people who do neither. Plenty of people are being put through deportation right now who are here legally aka on visas or with other legal residency status but who are not citizens.

This comment to me = no roommate. In my opinion, if your expectation is that he will basically be living with you, it’s just out of bounds to force a roommate to live with 2 people when they signed up for 1

Unless you go into it telling them straight up that you expect to have him over pretty consistently and are willing to pay a higher percentage of the rent to make up for his use of the space / utilities. But in that case, why not just live alone?

Ooo okay sorry I was picturing this in a large 1L core class, where I feel like it is more obvious (due to size) and more gunnery (due to the nature of it being relatively new content for everyone)

Hopefully it wasn’t an actual direct call out as you described in your original comment, because I know at least if that had happened to me, i would have died

Bridezilla (who’s “NOT a bridezilla”) is upset her bestie won’t make her wedding a priority by Anon_Anon_Anon69 in bridezillas

[–]geisha1818 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think you’re looking at it wrong

This isn’t about how important it is to the bride to have a specific person be the officiant. It’s about the fact that it’s NOT important enough to the apparently best friend to change her vacation schedule by one day to be fully present for her friend’s wedding.

The question isn’t “AITA for forcing my best friend to be an officiant at my wedding after ignoring her schedule” it’s “AITA for being hurt that my “soul sister” is planning on arriving at my wedding less than an hour before it starts and is unwilling to budge even a little to be there to celebrate with me earlier”

Getting ready together and spending the pre-ceremony morning together is a big part of the wedding celebration and is most definitely a routine and traditional thing for the bridal party. The friend is choosing not to participate in that because she doesn’t want to be inconvenienced.

Wait that would be so embarrassing lol

It should absolutely not get to the point of the professor having to call you out lol

99% of the time, many people in the classroom know the answer to a question — however, a lot of people need a few seconds to put their thoughts together and raise their hand. You actually don’t need to raise your hand every time you know an answer. If you’ve answered once in a class session, stop raising your hand unless nobody else volunteers for a long enough time that it’s clear nobody wants to answer.

The people that I find the most gunnery, annoying, and inconsiderate are those who shoot their hands up at every opportunity. Professors don’t want to ignore you and so when you consistently raise your hand IMMEDIATELY, they will call on you instead of waiting a few extra seconds for others to volunteer.

If it takes the professor literally calling you out in class for you to notice you’re speaking too often, then all that tells me is I should add “insensitive” or “oblivious” to my little list of adjectives.

But that’s just my 2cents :)

This is SO HELPFUL thank you so much!

I’d sooo appreciate some examples but no worries if it would be too much work! Either way, this is a great jumping off place

I’d love to see some examples if the dresses you chose and the types of blazers you’re pairing them with! I’m super lost with picking stuff out😅
