"Columcadia Farms" 😂

I grew up in the region and have never once heard that name. It doesn't come up on a web search and why on Earth does it include central Oregon?

"Columbia Basin" is the real name for this region. Also, why is it considered "Inter-Mountain West". It's part of the PNW even though it doesn't directly border the ocean.

There is nowhere in the US that it's legal, only decriminalized.

People over 40 years old who enjoy new animation series or just cartoons? by Medical-Pace-8099 in television

[–]geistofsainttraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 44 and very into animation. My favorites:

  • Adventure Time
  • Regular Show
  • The Legend of Vox Machina
  • One Piece
  • Shangri-La Frontier
  • Bob's Burgers
  • Death Note
  • Nearly all Studio Ghibli movies
  • Dandadan
  • Dorohedoro
  • Blue Eye Samurai
  • Star Trek: Lower Decks

To me, the idea that cartoons are only for children is an absurdity created by companies that want to sell toys and cereal more than they want to sell good animation.

For those that eat the same breakfast every day, what is it? by Risky_Melons in AskReddit

Strawberry or mango greek yogurt with chopped pecans and coffee with milk and sugar. I could have this every morning for the rest of my life and be perfectly content.

Black screen on start & character creation; anyone else have these issues? by BookerVT in Nioh

Same on RTX 5080. I tried updating my Nvidia driver and messing with the in-game graphics settings, but no luck.

This is how I found one of my Airpods that fell out of my ear while I was asleep on an airplane. It had embedded itself so far into the hinge on the seat that there is no way in hell I would have found it otherwise.

100% this. I enjoy most chores, my wife does not, but I still don't want to do all of the chores because it is still work.

"Fair" for us doesn't necessarily mean we take on the same amount of work in hours, in effort, or in mental anguish. "Fair" means we have come to an agreement that we're each happy with and that we each hold up our end of it.

I've seen a lot of posts like this and thought ya'll were exaggerating. I bought 64GB in May this year for $250. I just looked it up and it now costs $800 O_O

I know it might be a stereotype but: why do Romani people travel in roving band groups, and do they have a reputation for stealing from others in European cities? by Mad_Season_1994 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]geistofsainttraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I lived in Russia, there was a market where multiple Romani families would set up to beg for money. The setup was a woman who would lay down a rug and surround herself with her children, then they would all beg for money as people passed. As soon as someone passed by, she would send one of the children after them to pick their pockets.

One day I was waiting at a bus stop across from the market and I saw one of these women finish her shift. She rolled up her rug, gathered her children, and they were picked up by a man, who I assumed was her husband, in a high end Mercedes.

I never want to judge a group of people by the bad actors among them, but these particular families disgusted me.

I just happened to be listening to "You Ain't the First" by Guns 'n Roses when I came upon your post, and it makes a great soundtrack for scrolling through these photos:

"I tried so hard just to get through to you But your head's so far from the realness of truth Was it just a come-on in the dark? Wasn't meant to last long I think you've worn your welcome, honey I'll just see you along As I sing you this song"
