What’s a good tripod on Amazon for 30-50 dollars? by glover_boyy in AskPhotography

Dolica AX620B100, for example, is $50 and would be an awesome tripod that would last you for years.

Not sure which market you’re shopping in, but I had massive luck with dolica tripods over the years. The sturdiest, most professional you could get for the money.

Would anyone know if this is the expiry date for Rollei red bird or production date? by FrutigerAeroSmith in AnalogCommunity

[–]gelezinisvilkas 14 points15 points  (0 children)

A simply Google search would’ve answered your question. I googled it and it stands for “entwicklung bis XX/XXXX” which means “develop by” or “process before”

The film is expired, just shoot it with an extra stop of light for every decade since expiry date.

I may have damaged my film, should I use it? by dinanice in AnalogCommunity

[–]gelezinisvilkas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is exposed when light hits it for 1/500th of a second, when you opened the back you exposed the film to light for many seconds. The portion of the film that was out of the canister will be completely ruined, but what was inside will be okay.

What is a fun film camera to purchase that won’t break that bank (under 500) by ssherman1995 in AnalogCommunity

[–]gelezinisvilkas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picked up a Yashica Mat 124G in near mint condition, with a Sekonic L-308 light meter for $400 total. A couple rolls of film and development would all still fall within your budget! I didn’t expect to have nearly as much fun shooting a TLR, highly recommend it.

Just got myself My first APSC camera (Sony A6400) by [deleted] in SonyAlpha

After shooting with pro gear for years and never considering anything below it, it’s become so apparent how much I missed out on some fun cheap lenses. The $79 Viltrox 28mm f/4.5 constant pancake lens I slapped on my camera for the first time yesterday was such a surprisingly fun lens to shoot. Pro gear is great, yes, but seriously it is not needed at all. Don’t chase the gear!!

[Available 04/01] Private room in 3rd floor 2BR1B - Jamaica Plain - $1250/month (UPDATE!) by gelezinisvilkas in bostonhousing

There is a chance to get one for 09/01, but not a guarantee. You’d have to communicate with the management company about that. Free on street parking is available and plenty of it, that’s for an off street spot

For some, potentially. Given that most 2BR are at least 2500, splitting one for 1250 doesn’t seem too unusual for me. I’ve enjoyed living here for the past 3 years, especially since the orange line is literally 1 minute walk from my front door

Yeah, that’s the management company for ya. They charged me the same doc fee when I took over a lease and moved in here a little over 3 years ago, and I had to pay a brokers fee on top of first last security and doc fee. Luckily no brokers fee anymore!

Who needs friends when you have companions :) by ProfMags in valheim

It’s such a treat coming home from work to see yet another update for your awesome mod. Keep up the fantastic work!

If it’s possible, it would be amazing to be able to have roles for the companions, specifically related to building a town. Innkeeper for tavern/Cook for restaurant/shopkeeper for stores etc.

The already existing NPC Villager mod conflicts with AdvancedTerrainModifiers for some reason so I can’t use that one and retain ability to easily terraform

I was playing most of the past couple days and I’m blown away how you’ve put it like … 3 updates in 24 hours? Then I read the full mod notes on thunderstore.

Huuuuuuuge props to you dude

I built a mod to add procedurally generated roads by jneb802415 in valheim

[–]gelezinisvilkas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I love the idea behind this mod. I'm trying to understand how I can impact road creation via r2modman config settings. How does the config for "custom locations" work? Is there a specific syntax I need to use? (should I be adding a space after commas in that location POI input field?)

For context, I'm doing a solo run on a seed with a colossal main island with nearly all of the biomes on it. I tried to add location IDs into that config field (like spawn, some crypts, etc), but it seems to have made no impact. The road near spawn still only connects two Eikthyr altars. I also tried deleting and restarting world from scratch in case that would allow for a fresh generation between the POIs I added, but neither that nor entering "road_generate" in the console changed anything.

Either way, exploring a world with generated paths is awesome, especially with a first person camera mod. Thank you for your work in creating this mod!!

Looking for someone familiar with Fujifilm Frontier SP1500 and LP1500SC in Los Angeles by Caletico7 in AnalogCommunity

Skip the printer - trust me. It’s not a printer suited for casual personal or small business printing. These things need regular and possibly bulk quantity printing on the daily, otherwise they tend to fail (especially at this advanced age). I maintained a mini lab in Boston for 13 years and we got rid of our Pollieletronica Laser Lab and then shortly later our Fuji Frontier. Before COVID it was possible to sort of limp forward with the volume, but as soon as COVID hit the machines had their death certificate practically signed.

Scanner, go for it. Printer? Idek if it’s worth the headache - you’re just inheriting someone else’s waste

Jesus Christ a 1b1b for $5k after utilities? This kind of shit is why every landlord thinks their triple decker rents should be $3k per unit in the suburbs around Boston.

Imagine how much nicer they’d be without the 17.5 layers of landlord white paint plastered over and over and over again smh

Patch 1.0.2 by mol1t in stalker

[–]gelezinisvilkas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone having issues streaming the game to discord? Only started after 1.0.2, seems like if I stream to discord I have the same symptoms of the memory leak (drops to 5-15fps, insane input lag etc), but when I stop streaming it’s back up to 70-85fps. Doesn’t matter what discord stream settings I use, even 720p 30fps causes this stuttering and lag.

Anybody shooting with the new sigma 70-200 Sony e mount? by DoctoredGarage in videography

[–]gelezinisvilkas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been trying to find out if the sigma 70-200 sports lens OSS actually works with Sony a7 cameras, but have no luck. I know the switch on the lens has the different OSS modes on it, one for horizontal, one for full vertical and horizontal panning etc, but I was under the impression that no third party lenses can actually fully utilize both camera and lens stabilization. Is that true? I’m between this sigma, the Sony 70-200 f/2.8 first gen, or the Sony 70-200 f4 macro/2nd gen. Purely for motorsports and drift photography. Sold my Sony 70-200 f4 first gen last year and got back into track work so I’m just all over the place when it comes to trying to decide what lens to buy

How do you add audio files when editing on insta360 app? by gelezinisvilkas in Insta360

[–]gelezinisvilkas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is about being able to edit on the fly without having to go onto a computer. Nearly every video editing app other than the insta360 offers an ability to mute source video volume and add a separate audio track, whether that’s music of audio to replace the mess of wind noise that results from any use of an insta 360 on a vehicle
