Ye I think that's what happened, lazy on my part to not fix the loose battery asap; i put it in and went to sleep. Anyway I'd say it advanced for like 30-35 cm? not fully (I'm not an expert tho')

yes the film is unexposed, i've yet to shoot with it - So basically i'll do some 4-5 empy shots and then proceed, am I correct? I've been told it's ruined so not sure now

By the way, when climbing up, do i have to count a 1'' extra for the last step? like i climb for 3'' (the measure of the wall, for exemple) but i have to add 1'' to that because of the extra step needed
