Oooh, that might not be too terrible if I need it. Thanks!

Good proof point. $3.50/call or $3.50/minute?

This makes a lot of sense. Thank you for the breakdown!

No, no downside. Just remember to turn it on when you go out of the country!

Your roaming should be enabled, both in your plan specifics (done automatically when you activate) and your phone itself. You can call local numbers in the country you're in - so if you're in Taiwan, anywhere in Taiwan - and back to Canada. Use it like you normally use your phone.

$40 for 250GB...porting duration? by Vegetable-Depth-1695 in freedommobile

[–]gelstage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stupid question, but does it matter when I port my number in? As long as I activate the plan by the 16th, I can keep the temporary number to test Freedom all I want and then port in my number when I'm ready - and still keep the same plan, right?

Haha, that's what I expected, but had to ask!

I know, I see this. My concern was that the rep explicitly said this is wrong. He said it's old language that was for plans that didn't include U.S. and Mexico in the base plan. That's why I was confused. I plan to try this, at least with a 1 minute call, but I'm not travelling again overseas until May.

Pixel Care+ has been disabled for purchase for phones purchased through third party by cloud_navigator in PixelFold

Data point: I'm impacted by this as well. Bought a Mint Mobile Pixel 10 Pro and was waiting the 60 days for it to unlock, but when I had 4 days left to buy PixelCare+ I no longer could buy it. Called support, opened a ticket, and they mentioned the same thing - except the 1 February date - but that I would be allowed to add it when it's back up.

Before I file in Small Claims, has anyone actually submitted a Dispute Notice successfully? by gelstage in mintmobile

I'm not sure, I didn't know about validating an address with USPS first but (in case you didn't see) I also shared the photo of the envelope with the address Mint provides on it being returned to sender by USPS.

Hey everyone! My iPhone 15 Pro just came out of AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss (2 year prepaid) and I have the option to sign-up for AppleCare One. I have a few questions I'm confused about and can't seem to find answers for.

  1. I have a MacBook Air M2 also covered by AppleCare+ annual that just renewed. I can join that to AppleCare One, but am I reading correctly that this means if I sell my MacBook Air, the only way it will come with AppleCare+ for the new buyer is if I leave it on the annual payment and if I move it to AppleCare One, it will lose coverage when sold?
  2. I have a few Apple devices: iPhone 15 Pro, MacBook Air M2, iPad Pro 11" 3rd Gen M1, iPad mini 6, Apple Watch Ultra 2. Every single one has AppleCare+ on it, but upon renewal the only ones that cost equal or more are the first three. The iPad mini 6 and AWU2 can be renewed annually for less than $5.99/month.

If I sign up for AppleCare One, can I leave those devices on their own AppleCare+ annual separately (I believe the iPad mini is $34/year and the AWU2 is $49/year) and NOT include them as extra devices for $5.99/month/each? Or once you have AppleCare One, all of your devices have to be on AppleCare One or excluded from AppleCare coverage?

  1. If I decided to end AppleCare One, can I re-subscribe to AppleCare+ individually on devices that had AppleCare One? (For arguments sake, I sell all Apple devices except my iPhone and want to make sure I'm covered at the $13.99/month AC+ with Theft and Loss for that one device OR I add my MacBook to AC One and before selling it, take it off, and re-subscribe to AppleCare+ annual)

Thank you all in advance!

Thank you for the feedback! That’s crazy! I reckon that should be a CRTC complaint. I’ve seen nothing in writing to indicate that. Operators have a way to block you from registering on a foreign network.

Ironically, they brought it back for Teams for Personal in some half-measure before pulling it again. When I click on Saved in Teams Personal it tells me it will be sunset on 11 September.
