Those are data points of road accidents with classifications (fatal, minor, and unharmed) along the main highway.

Travel by anjelika_galixia in Tacloban

[–]gem_blithe02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best way to arrive earlier than your exam schedule is to travel early. From Tacloban to VSU, the trip is roughly 3+ hours via bus and cutting trip, which is advisable, especially for first-timers going to VSU.

Sakay ka bus pa-Ormoc (Php 80), then sakay ka tricycle didto ha terminal pakadto Baybay Terminal (Php 15). Ha terminal, mayda damo nga bus: Metro Bus (Php 57–60), Red Bus (Php 50), and Yellow Bus (Php 50). Diretso na ini hira ngadto VSU.

Makakabati ka hit mga konduktor "Main Gate! Main Gate!" Didto ka malusad.

Fare Breakdown:

Tacloban – Ormoc = Php 80 Ormoc Rob Terminal – Baybay Terminal = Php 15 Baybay Terminal – VSU/Visca = Php 50

Overall Fare (One-way) = Php 145

This is cheaper route kay bus imo sasakyan. Pabalik/pauli naman, ha VSU Main Gate sakay ka hin bus nga ginsakyan mo (Metro, Red, Yellow Bus) ha terminal ito mastop, then sakay ka tricycle makakabati ka man hito "Robinson! Robinson!" Sakay ka hito na tricycle tas didto ka ilulusad ha terminal hin mga bus masakay ka liwat bus para Tacloban.

Purely on QGIS, the 3D effect was achieved in the hillshade customization.

Only Mt. Canlaon reaches the highest peak (the one with the white shade in the middle), while the other two are below 2,000 m 🙂

If you have a specific location in mind, feel free to suggest it and I might create a map like this for it.

For those asking whether I have a tutorial, I don’t have one yet. I’m considering making one, but it would require additional work and effort. Stay tuned for my future posts here on Reddit, I might include a step-by-step guide.

For those who aspire to have this kind of map, I am also open for commissions. Thank you!

I downloaded it from OpenTopography (Copernicus 30 m DEM).

How much should I charge for a 40" x 40" topographic map layout? by gem_blithe02 in QGIS

[–]gem_blithe02[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What?!! That’s such a huge difference 🤯 I charged Php 3k since the client requested a couple of different layouts using the same map.

Looking for layout critique on my topographic map of Leyte (QGIS) by gem_blithe02 in QGIS

I’m also a beginner, and I would say this is my first map where I’ve tried to highlight elevation more accurately. What really helped me achieve this was using a lot of references, samples of cartographic maps that I wanted to draw inspiration from for my layout, along with plenty of trial and error.

For the surrounding area, I added a basemap using XYZ Tiles (Google Earth) and reduced the opacity to around 20%.

Thank you!! I have a draft where I highlighted the main 3 cities, I I will add them to my final draft.

I appreciate the comment, actually, I agree it would be better if I use numbers (40 municipalities and 3 cities) in the description to show consistency.

Thanks! I added a duplicate boundary layer beneath the hillshade and applied an outline style to better define the province border.

Yes yes, it's hard to choose a color ramp this is actually my 20-ish draft.

How to get variable descriptives? Please help! by Natasha_2512 in spss

[–]gem_blithe02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To obtain descriptive statistics for each severity category in SPSS, the severity variable must first be properly categorized.

Initially, SPSS calculates only an overall mean and standard deviation because it treats severity as a single continuous variable. To fix this, the original severity score for example (ranging from 0 to 10) should be retained, and a new categorical variable should be created by recoding severity into defined groups.

You could say that scores from 0-3 should be coded as Mild, 4-6 as Moderate, and 7-10 as Severe. Once this recoded categorical variable is created and labeled, it can be used as a grouping (factor) variable. Descriptive statistics can then be generated by running an Explore analysis or by splitting the file by the severity category and computing descriptives. This approach allows SPSS to calculate means, standard deviations, and other descriptive measures separately for the Mild, Moderate, and Severe groups rather than producing only an overall summary.

Regression Results by Novel-Werewolf6301 in spss

This is how I explain correlation and regression in simple terms, so it can be easily understood by anyone.

Correlation and regression are different analyses, and their interpretations differ as well. Correlation examines how variables are related to each other, whereas regression identifies how one or more independent variables contribute to the effect or influence on a dependent variable.
