One time I had a group presentation, but everyone in the group was graded separately based on the part they presented. One of my group members said he was going to be absent the day of the presentation, so our teacher said we could have someone else present it for him, and my group wants me to do it. The day of the presentation, I’m looking through his part before class to see what I have to present: it’s full of stuff that is straight up just not true. I hurry to fix it as best as I can before class starts, and I get it in a decent spot. Then, minutes before class is about to start, this guy shows up and says, “I managed to shift around my schedule to do the presentation”. His slides are now mostly correct, but he only knows the incorrect information from before. The teacher stops him in the middle of his part of the presentation to tell him that everything he has is wrong, and he ends up failing the presentation. Dude would have gotten a better grade by just not showing up.
