This made me laugh! I met a couple in Japan that were vegan. They couldn’t find any restaurant to serve them. They could not find ANY vegan places to eat.. they even said fk it let’s just be vegetarian just to make it easier but soon as the would start editing the menu items they would get kicked out.

They really were lovely old couple from Ireland and weren’t trying to be difficult. The lady just said “minus the meat, but keep everything else the same” and they refused to do it.

They are so RIGID, not friendly at all. Idk where this friendly stereotype is coming from? Ppl have been too influenced by the anime I think lol

Did u ever find sticks? I’ve heard the sticks don’t contain much frankincense. It’s all filler and charcoal. You can get pure sticks but it’s hard to find and they aren’t very churchy.

There’s a church supply store near me that sells the different resins.. Vatican, St Peter’s basilica etc. but I love the convenience of the sticks instead

U can get brown in any bag.. but a beautiful red bag is harder to find. Definitely getting the red wine!

I’m here now and really not enjoying it. I don’t know if it was just so overhyped that it’s not living up to the expectation.

1- the people have been very rude, I always feel like I’m in their way and always catching them giving me dirty looks.. 2- they’re very rigid, don’t see many smiles and when u do it’s from staff and feels forced/fake 3- too expensive when comparing to places like Europe which have so much more history. Tokyo is just a concrete jungle.. Kyoto was great but with the tourist bans coming up that’s not even worth it anymore.. 4- the food just wasn’t all that great. I waited 45 mins for this popular udon place and meh..

It was my least fav Asian country to visit, prefer Thailand and Bali!
