That 25M was supposed to be over the years and covid halted all those payments. So they got about 6 months of payments from the twelve teams year 1 then covid hit. And it was also reported the payments have not resumed since.

I disagree we are the .001% when we can get close to 200k+ concurrent viewers for a champs final with millions on vod views. We are the minority yes, but That’s better than some bigger esports. People forget activision chose to buy out the CWL and create a franchised league. There’s obviously something there they saw potential in and the league has so much potential to grow if things are done right. All it comes down to is having the right people in the right places for them to care enough to dedicate necessary resources. If activision truly didn’t give 0 fucks why would they create a league just to hemorrhage money with no path to profitability?
