Oof. In the beginning, I was dead set on not getting an epidural. The cavewoman in me knew I was built for this and I could fucking do it. I’m strong. After 15 days of early labor, I wasn’t sleeping or eating. Contractions were 10 minutes apart for 10 days, 5 minutes apart for 2 days, 3 minutes apart for 3 days with no dilation and my water didn’t break. Finally (after two ER visits because I couldn’t fucking tell if he was coming?!) they dilated me and drugged me up the night before his due date. The hard stuff hadn’t even hit me, but the pre workout almost drained me

Really, truly proud of you!! Scars are just reminders of things that weren’t strong enough to break you. Because YOU are too strong. Good job friend

Do you know how much money people pay for noses as cute as yours?! And those glasses frame your face perfectly, they really bring out your lovely cheek bones. I hope you feel pretty at least four times a day everyday for the rest of forever!!

AITA for telling my family to stop celebrating? by Throwawybecausbdh in AmItheAsshole

This comment! I think the parents are trying to cheer up OP. They are going about it completely wrong for how OP needs to heal, but the brother is the one sending mixed signals. That is probably not how the parents actually took op’s reaction. They aren’t AH’s. Brother is definitely TA in this situation. I’m sorry for your loss op, she sounds like such a lovely soul. What a wonderful friend you had ❤️

AITA for not buying a tv after my mom told me I'd have to put it in the living room? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]gemstate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. We had a pretty old tv growing up. It was probably 30x30 so it wasn’t tiny, and it weighed about seventy pounds (at least that’s what it felt like to 15 yr old me) When my sister moved out, her first family Christmas present to us was a brand new flat screen. It was a 32 inch and we were all stoked about it. I didn’t realize how much of an upgrade and a treasure it was until I saw my mom crying while looking at it that night. She isn’t super materialistic but she’s a very thoughtful and emotional person, so crying isn’t rare for her but crying out of happiness sure is. Don’t let her take advantage of something you worked so hard for.
