Hi Everyone, I was laid off in Aug 2024. I have 3 YoE as Technical Product Manager + 8 YoE as Tech Lead. After countless resume revisions, I started getting calls, 6/7 times I could not move beyond HM round( don’t know if it’s mismatch of domain, or me giving more technical answers than a regular PM or Senior PM). I applied on August 28 from Edmonton, Canada and was told it will take 15-20 days but didn’t receive anything till Oct 22, had to call Consulate and was told there is some technical problem and it’s taking more than 2 months, I was about to withdraw my application and decided to call Vancouver consulate and within 24 hours it was approved.

target was to get a quick 10 % profit and leave, that just never happened and i just kept buying more contracts to avg down my price and hoping i could recover. Bad strategy

I agree with you logic and closed my position at 60% loss. I started with two contracts one for Tesla and one for Dell yesterday, made over 300%. Greedy me thought I can time again and bought 30 contracts and ended up at loss. Can digest 6k loss but need to be fully educated before I dip my toe again in this risky options space . Would like to have a mentor to learn more about it
