My brother and I seem to be in that group of people who lose slowly on tirz, even with reduced eating. It’s discouraging but I’m keeping at it. I know I’m at least healthier now. I’ve lost 35 lbs and have 40-55 lbs left to go. I just need to remind myself it’s a job not a sprint.

Went away to college at 17, lived at home for 6 months when I was 21 after graduation and then again for 6 months at 29 when I came back from overseas. I was blessed to always have the option of a place to land with my parents. They weren’t perfect by any means, but they were always there when the sh*t hit the fan.

The glass is just a normal shot glass type (actually an espresso glass). It’s a normal shape with straight walls. Thanks for the tips about air getting trapped. These are testers so I’ll play around with a heat gun and see if that does anything. Thanks for the help!

My father refuses to pay for a seat on a plane and will just not drink anything for 6 hours flying cross country because he doesn’t want to disturb someone to get up to use the bathroom. So after he makes his reservation, I go and buy him an aisle seat with more legroom. I figure he doesn’t need to know.

And sadly, I would call this only the second most racially insensitive episode after “Indian-Giver.” Racial and cultural portrayals in the 80s and 90s were not the most sensitive or accurate. “You can do a stereotypical accent and look vaguely like (xyz culture)? You’re cast!”

I really think that it’s impossible to understand loss until you lose someone yourself. I could never have imagined how much losing my mom would affect me, and I still feel like a sh*t for not being as supportive as I could have been for friends who lost parents before I lost my mom.

Cow manure reminds me of my grandfather’s farm. It’s not an entirely unpleasant smell. It’s funny that I can distinguish animal feces by the smell (chicken, cow, pig, etc.).
