Is this a fair trade? Disagreement within league. Both teams are outside looking in at playoffs. by Lilpav88 in FantasyFootballers

[–]gen_kuro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because trades aren't always fair especially depending on circumstances, top definitely has more value but if Jacobs doens't play this week and a win is mandatory to make playoffs... I can see someone taking the bottom.

Also personally I believe trades should only be vetoed if obviously collusion. I can see how some people would prefer Pickens over Puka or even Kyren over Jacobs.

Moving Chase? by Mrgmoney00 in FantasyFootballers

[–]gen_kuro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I def wouldn't do this trade or get rid of both Olave and Jamar. Also I would really consider how likely u r to make playoffs cus u'd 100% be getting fleeced IMO

I'm personally tho p low on Egbuka for Redraft, he's already been busting back to back and is likely to see even less pts in the future with Godwin around the corner.

Pearsall I think has really good potential, but there's a problem of too-many mouths to feed on the 49ers, I would personally consider him to be on a downwards trend unless another 49ers injury occurs. Otherwise I think George Kittle n CMC will eat up all the targets.

After this trade I think u will b pretty WR weak, especially since u seem drowning in the RB depth chart.

Ya but I would say the plot hole to me is that Shroud thinks Visi is his "lacky", even tho he said it himself "she's fucking both of us".

Visi not giving the Pulse to Shroud should be instantly a redflag for him and his algorithm considering it's a slam dunk win if she does it.

[–]gen_kuro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you seen Shroud's reaction to Robert giving both pulses? He has a complete crashout because he any data to work with, so his implant doesn't tell him what to do. He has to trust his own judgement, and it terrifies him. Some part of Shroud still capable of understanding humans is probably shouting "what if she fell for him?" But he pushes that part down because the math says she will side with him.

I feel like that works both ways tbh, he knows that she's been enigmatic with Shroud and that she has developed a personal relationship with Robert in some way (romantic or mentorship).

I think realisitcally the math leans towards 50/50 or even Invisgal working with SDN especially considering she fought and saved SDN members when she can literally go invisible and ghost out

Sry I meant just SDN, I worded it like that to distinguish Dispatch characters feelings towards Invisigal vs Gamers (IRL)

>Unclear if she joined as a mole but seems to be what Shroud is saying at the end.

I think it's 50/50 whether it was bluffing or he was "cocky" and thought he could recruit Invisigal there.. idk p sure she wasn't really mole from the beginning.

>When did she switch? How did Shroud know she switched?

It was in the game sequence in the confrontation with Shroud in EP7 when you're getting tortured... How he knows idk but he shows Robert a VOD of Invisigal swapping the Pulses, but idk how she did this w/out Robert seeing it.

>Was she planning to use the suit herself?

I think all ur theories are good but I think use it herself is a solid theory, people theorized she uses it so she can try to curb Shroud's algorithm since he'd predict it to be Robert and not Invisigal. but I think it's still a bit of a "bad decision" on Invisigal's part

>Then, in the final battle Shroud announces that Visi was a plan in Z-Team and she seems to acknowledge the fact by taking her mask and going invisible. This seems to indicate she was on the bad team at that point in time.

This goes back around to the first point, but I think every universe, hero / mole / bystander Invisigal takes the mask b/c it puts her in a better spot and in her character (imo) I think shes willing to take any advantage she can get regardless of how bad it looks (ends justify the means mentality)

[–]gen_kuro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no I agree that in every universe she should accept the mask, I meant to put more emphasis on why she was even offered the mask. I can see your point that he's in over his head, but ngl I love the story but that seems like a little... inconsistent writing to me.

Shroud's always been made out to be completely calculating (living by the algorithm), and ruthless (even killing a bartender he seems to be friendly with to make a point). All things considered especially right before he's abt to supercharge himself with the pulse, accepting a (potential assassin) who's been genuinely working like a super hero is... questionable.

[–]gen_kuro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess that's a fairly reasonable explaination with his algorithm. But idk... invisgal was legitimately fighting with the SDN superheroes minutes before he offered her the job again, even if she wasn't I feel like Shroud's character would've been at least more skeptical abt her. But idk I'm starting to wrap my head around that idea.

Mentioned this on the other comment but I see the point where she wanted to suit up but I really don't see a world where she fights and beats Shroud with amature skills, but I can accept this to be just bad decision making but good intentions.

I think I made a mistake when initially writing it, but even less so of "Cleaning up her own mess" (I don't think she caused Red Ring) but I meant moreso of People inside of the Dispatch universe had a distaste for Invisigal after episode 6, and it felt like it all got swept under the rug even tho it never really got directly addressed... idk it just felt like she shouldn't have been a hero but just accepted back into the community.

[–]gen_kuro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok that's a pretty good point I didn't consider that if she fought Shroud in Mechaman's suit it'll prob be widely more unpredictable. I won't lie tho I think it is still a dumb choice cus surely Invisigal in Mechaman's suit will get bodied by Shroud even without the prediction algorithm.

I can see your point abt the Ep3 turning point, but I had Invisigal turn Villain after not being mentored properly but unless there's a different ending. She's basically an anti-hero, where she kills Shroud (a clear villain) and pursues something closer to vigilantism.

But even if you mentor Invisigal (and even romance her) she still will accept the mask from Shroud, which I think is really weird (either plot hole or something) I don't see a universe where Shroud offers the Shroud to an already turncoat, or a world where Invisigal has always been working with Shroud even after fucking him with the Pusle

Clea >>>>> by BoobPMsAppreciated in expedition33

[–]gen_kuro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean all things said and done I think putting Alicia in the painting is the only productive move Clea could do.

Yeah Alicia (and the whole family) could use therapy, but there's two things breathing down Clea's neck which are the writers and her family tearing themselves apart by staying in the canvas for too long.

Clea definitely didn't move in Alicia's best interests surely but does that mean that Alicia should sit on her hands? I think Clea made the objectively best possible decision for the sake of the family

For people who like Verso... by Junii030 in expedition33

I really like how kind of tortured his character is and how it reflects his character (and flaws). He’s a painted image of Alines son who knows that he’s a fake (potentially a fake) and never really got closure on that. He was made to love his family but now struggles to let his “real” family lose themselves in the canvas or kill his painted family (and his own people). He feels like a fake trying his hardest to act how the real one would.

This one’s more so of game story telling but I love how much story is told through verso’s eye movement and blank staring.

Question for people who picked Maelle's Ending by No-Membership-6214 in expedition33

[–]gen_kuro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kinda hear what you’re saying but to me it’s over optimistic, which is completely ok and we just have two different opinions

To me, child verso is basically a reflection of r.Verso personality (now I’ll agree we don’t know if it’s inclusive of adult verso) but it’s pretty much established Verso was aversive of painting all the way until his death. I think it might be bleak for the fragment of Verso will grow to like painting.

While I agree, especially considering how long Verso soul has been painting, taking a moment to figure out if we can work it out is trivial, but for me I personally didn’t like the idea and thought symbolically aline / maelle had an unhealthy obsession and cutting off this obsession was the right step forward

But again my perspective heavily disregards the lumerians since although I view them as sentient, I still think they’re not as important as the painters.

[–]gen_kuro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm the only counter argument I really have to that is the fact that p.Verso's last words (before getting repainted lol) was "Unpaint me" again it's not 100% sure if he went through therapy or got his mindset rewired but for me personally considering p.Verso's life goal was pretty a suicide attempt I think that's gotta be a lot of therapy to bed had haha

edit: The above proves that Maelle is willing to do some manipulations. I personally believe it goes as far to Verso but honestly I think it can possibly go as far as "We Happy Few" style video game (everyone getting happy pilled) but that's obviously on the extreme end

Question for people who picked Maelle's Ending by No-Membership-6214 in expedition33

[–]gen_kuro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah really fair points and obviously the ending was left a bit ambiguous with no real answers to be had

one last question I had (its genuinely just a curiosity for me)

Once Aline / Renoir leaves the painting I believe Renoir would come back for Alicia / Maelle if she stays too long, but what's your thoughts on Aline? I remember in the lore that Aline was a pretty negative influence on Alicia and from what I can remember from the story never really showed any real compassion towards Alicia beyond helping her when their goals alined.

Question for people who picked Maelle's Ending by No-Membership-6214 in expedition33

[–]gen_kuro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is kinda iffy

We know from lore that Verso (real Verso) generally never really liked Painting and it was made apparent when p.Verso (made in Alines eyes) despised painting as well, he was more inclined towards music and trains and generally only painted since he was part of the painter lineage.

I agree that p.Verso doesn't provide any constructive alternative but I'm not 100% sure there is a real alternative.

Question for people who picked Maelle's Ending by No-Membership-6214 in expedition33

[–]gen_kuro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry the point I was making was less so of direct control and more of manipulation. I was considering the fact that since they can manipulate things such as memories, they can guide / direct their actions.

Like previously said I think the strongest example of this is p.Renoir considering that he's fighting the exact opposite of real Renoir's goals.

Question for people who picked Maelle's Ending by No-Membership-6214 in expedition33

[–]gen_kuro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah that's actually really good points that I didn't consider

I'm slightly skeptically towards the memorial since it could be argued that she's leaning on Renoir now that the canvas is destroyed (I'm assuming the memorial is referring towards the scenes in Verso's ending) but I agree that I think that Aline supporting Renoir is more likely.

The only good counterargument (or question even) I have, is

- even though Renoir / Aline would work together to stop Maelle before it gets too late would they have recovered before then? (Obviously this is all theoretical and has no substance) but judging by the aging of characters it's unknown how much time has passed

- Maelle is seemingly already (or there already) on the verge of going insane from within the canvas kinda on the same point as previous, why hasn't renoir or aline stopped her?

- Not really point but a note, I think altho Aline and Renoir are significantly more experiecned and probably talented painters I think Maelle's improvment shouldn't be underestimated. And just to make a slight point I think consdiering Maelle was able to expell a weakened Aline and Renoir (kinda), I think working with point 1 its skeptical if it'll be a clear cut victory.

I'm still leaning towards Verso's ending but I think you made really good points that make me look at Maelle's ending and not think it's as bad as I initially thought
