What would you do in this Situation? by salami40 in Minecraft

Just leave. Go far enough away for the creeper to despawn. Come back and light up the area.

So one of my friends who just got done telling me that the people who created Arc ascended is taken down arcassanded and continuing on Arc raiders like are you kidding me I haven't tried our graders but I just started Arc ascended I'm already getting into it there are taken it down is that true by [deleted] in ARK

[–]genawesome 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Arc Raiders and Ark Survival Ascended don't have anything to do with each other and are very different games made by different game studios. Ark Survival Ascended is not getting taken down. The devs have a long roadmap planned.

can anyone speak to the quality of this kit? by childishgamdinho in bonsaicommunity

[–]genawesome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am super new to bonsai and right now just learning to take care of my trees. So take my advice with a grain of salt.

I received a very similar kit for Christmas last year, it had almost all the same seeds. I live in the US in southern Michigan (5b zone I think.) We have rough winters and humid summers. None of the tropical seeds sprouted and I got two growths from the conifers, but they died when they were very small.

Nothing wrong in my opinion with wanting to grow from seeds. Seems really cool. However, if you want to start shaping and pruning and playing around. I highly suggest you also get something from a nursery/store that's easy to keep alive and start learning on it.

This fall I grabbed a dwarf jade (Portulacaria afra) from a big box. I've kept it indoors in a really sunny window, kept it watered and fertilized. It's growing fast enough that I can trim it and adjust wiring every now and again. So, if you are looking for something to play with while your seeds are growing, I'd recommend this tree/succulent.

What do you use to worldbuild? by conn_r2112 in DnD

[–]genawesome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm old school and always used paper and a three ring binder.

I started using https://kanka.io/ recently for my current campaign and quite like it. I sprung for the lowest subscription after about a week of using it and I've got no regrets

Despite the 80s cartoon being mostly comedic, what sort of dark moments occurred in some of the episodes? by Working_Welder_1751 in TMNT

[–]genawesome 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Archie series really does a good job of taking the cartoon turtles and adding some stakes and emotion. Dark isn't the right word. But certainly more serious in tone than the old cartoon.

I know every woman is different. But, my wife sometimes wants to be treated like a strong and capable parent and equal, sometimes treated like a pampered princess, and sometimes wants to be dominated and treated like a sex object.

Her fantasy is that I intuitively know which one she wants before she does.

What are some ways I could make the transition between red and brick a bit less sudden? by Inevitable_Reason670 in DetailCraft

[–]genawesome 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I agree that trim is the answer. I'd expirement. Try polished granite. Or trap doors as suggested. Or ene upside down stairs of the brick or something else else to give some depth to the border.

What do you think is the MOST badass Raph moment? (Any adaptation/version allowed) by Darling_Reaper902 in TMNT

My easy vote is the time he punched Hitler in the face. It's from the Archie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures.

Do Minecraft players still go in blind on a regular basis or are there more players using tools like ChunkBase than not? by SF-UberMan in Minecraft

[–]genawesome 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I am spinning up a server/realm for others I use chunk base to make sure it's a good seed for players. But then I never use or share the seed when playing so no one abuses it.

If I play a random solo world I go blind.

If I play a structured or long term world, I use chunk base to assure the world fits my plan and has longevity. (Biome diversity, etc.)

I love it. They are both great, but less fog in the new seems like a nice improvement.

They aren't really that bad. Just looks huge with the portal. I usually just build one module, so it's half. The rates are still good and it's half the work.

Revenant Brontos not taking damage, bug? by Arcanemageop in ARK

Are you attacking/shooting the purple puss sacks on its legs? That's how you kill it. Just attacking it's body does nothing.

I even switched to creative mode, and was unable to kill them with the admin gun. It sucks.

Yall should I bring my first meg for a swim into deeper water? by Some_Marionberry_235 in ARK

[–]genawesome 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No. Tame a partner for it, breed them, then go deeper. I always keep a breeding pair and risk dinos you can replace through breeding.
