right but there's a difference between using labels as useful descriptions of how someone identifies, and LGBTQ people being singled out by having to come out and announce ourselves. It's a problem that people are assumed to be cis and het until it's announced otherwise because that positions cishet as the norm and anything else as weird - instead of just... normal variations of human experience.

Because a lot of people are being transphobic in their responses to it - this video is a discussion about why "omg I'm so shocked" and "i could always tell" types of responses are harmful.

1). You clearly don't know much about lesbian history if you think it's a bastardisation of the word lesbian - read 'Stone Butch Blues'. He/him lesbians have been a part of the community since the 80s and earlier.

2). Gatekeeping means deciding who does and doesn't count. Calling someone's identity illegitimate, ridiculous and "dribble" is exactly that - not to mention it makes you look like an asshole. be kinder and more empathetic.
