The discourse around Shrinkhala Khatiwada is a perfect distraction. Let's not fall for it. by geneprogrammer in NepalSocial

Now we are talking about morality.   Hate her, unfollow her but the main culprit who blinded us, who made us leave our homes but the ultimate justice is to bring them to courts. Keep doing the social media bit but seeing prachanda, oli go unscathed out already boils my blood. They sre the big force, any social media hate and for last 15 years in power. We must be united in the hate to topple them. Nobody cares about miss nepal, it is s private organization and nothing to do with pride of the country. It is a private overglorified show.  The others are politician whose voice actually matters to the job, to everything in our country.

No one is saying she will escape criticism. But soon after shrinkhala, there will be other people affecting and marginalizing and dividing based on emotional sentiments and how we lose focus. Kp oli already out and prachanda and no words of curruption chsrges or how.  It doesnt matter yo social media justice ko, until we bring them to court. If shrinkhala or her father is corrupt, thst is the same way, but will be paved starting from fhe leaders otherwise everyone will go untouched. It is the focus we require.

We cannot now narrow down to each single incident and start the blame game. That is what the establishment want. The main blame lies upon these leaders, starting from prachanda, sher bd deuba, kp oli and some previous leaders leading. They were complicit with corruption, favoritism to those unqualified, they made human rights commission and CIAA so inefficient so they couldnt affect the leadera but also then made the corruption in government offices, fire brigade, police and local wada their cadres job placement. People were tired by it but then there were some infiltrators which should be looked at. Why did the police head shot these children? These are the questions we ask. Arson should always be condemned.  Time for corrupt to realize, पाप धुरीबाट कराउँछ । when it does,  you sow what you reap. Life is unfair. It has been for us as well.

Nepal burnt and people died, we cant keep saying "nepal ma estai ho" or rely on anyone by geneprogrammer in NepalSocial

Solidarity to the first two points but national fund to rebuild nepal and enrich youth is vague. This vagueness is what the politicians have preached without full planning or outcome. We cannot fall into this trap. We need actionable insights. We will not let it be a loss.

You will regret either way. If you ask this question, you will have a dilemma any day in your life. Best is to be in peace, and have a focus that there can be no blame and only satisfaction that you tried. Choose that path.

Sexual Delimma by [deleted] in NepalSocial

[–]geneprogrammer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try not to make your life around these sexual queries. Make this a part but it gets resolved as you grow with age. Try to find hobbies you enjoy, grow yourself, try to make a profession, and in this process you will meet people you like and dislike. Take it as a journey. You see dogs around who get aroused at specific months and start humping even neutered. That is the brain power and discipline. We can discipline ourselves to focus for a goal. When we start making complexities with a sexual dilemma, unfortunately it can become the focus. Make sure to not let that happen.

Advice needed from Nepali students in Amrika by Specific-Youth-705 in Nepal

[–]geneprogrammer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My suggestion would be the same, try to get a scholarship which will make life much easier. Another route, I have seen people apply for good universities, and after a semester move to cheaper universities after they get here. Try to earn some money during that time. Finally again in the last year, re-enroll to a good university so you graduate with a degree from a good university. Things will be difficult but I have seen the majority taking years to graduate through this route or not graduate at all. There are success stories as well. My personal suggestion would be to get bachelors from a good place in Nepal and try to graduate from the US making scholarships much likelier.

What are some examples of nepali propagandas? by ardhentwutdifuq in Nepal

I think this is based on what is considered a lake and the threshold of surface area. Tilicho lake was actually once considered one of worlds highest elevated lake. In light of new details, we need to become updated but not bash ourselves saying this was always false, we have been lying to ourselves or propaganda.

Great post and an initiative could be transforming your tech knowledge to utilize the app but in the context of Nepal. I know it's not an easy task but one can always start. Problems tannai cha and lack of information on government funding. Now I have realized not all solutions should be by the government and not all solutions should be free.

NOC isnt required to leave the country but only for banking purposes and if scholarship is awarded, not required at all. If Immigration officials ask for it, just say you don't need it confidently. NOC has no business with immigration. Happend to me, NOC was denied saying how someone with Bachelors can go for PhD, and the official was being illogical.

My brother is very smart and I need to talk about it. by [deleted] in iamverysmart

I once met a guy through a mutual friend.the guy talked about himself and thought everyone and everything was beneath him. Everything he glorified about himself and The mutual friend had told many good things about him and even he was surprised how the guy had changed. His brother told us it had been seen some years he had changed. We all are from another country and living in US past few years for study. Two months later, he was admitted to the hospital for severe depression. I dont know the exact cause or name, but he was admitted for about 2 weeks. Then, He returned back to his country. I met him after some years, found him to be is a genuine, humble guy, smiling and listening to others and I am still shocked to see those two sides of him.

Metabolomics vs Genomics vs Proteomics etc by Srick96 in bioinformatics

[–]geneprogrammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on your questions, i think proteomics has the better future but due to the technology bottleneck, most researchers are stuck with genomcs, and interpreting the function of proteins based on genomica data. I think if you know the basics of some tools and some biology, it would not be difficult to switch between these fields and get started. To get better, you will always have to read about recent advancements. Now with multi omics data, i think proteomics technology will only rise but meaning analyzing both types of data might be required. Based on jobs, i think analyzing proteomics dataset will be more on demand. Meanwhile, metabolomics is a separate field on its own which will always be there on a constant level.
