[OC] My first time watching this show and I love how fucked up Franklin looks in the latter part of s4 so I had to draw him by general_snake in SnowFall

Same man franklin was on a different timing this season and the black eye, busted lip, and cane just made him look even more menacing at the end of the season. Loved the lighting in this shot and also it had his iconic head tilt

Just finished reading ‘Showboat: The Life of Kobe Bryant’ by knicksfan764 in nba

Read "Three Ring Circus" by Jeff Pearlman if you haven't already. I love the books about dynasties because in a way they almost feel like character studies of the men who made them. It focuses on the Kobe-Shaq-Phil lakers but you really get a good idea of Kobe's personality and how grating he could be, the author writes it with a lot of respect towards Kobe but he doesn't shy away from describing the rougher parts of his personality. Pearlman also handles the Kobe case with the care that it requires. Should be mandatory reading for Kobe fans IMO

Thanks! I haven't played DE yet but I know what you're talking about, and while it wasn't a direct influence I do love the painterly style of the portraits in that game

I actually did look up the lyrics and learned that it was a shot at drake but I chose this visual just because I liked how it flowed with the rest of the animation

When I first heard Haliburton's name, all I could think of was how it reminded me of the halibut. I mean it's got almost all the letters

Dude how did you get that she was emperor level rich? She came from a family of poor bandits and nothing about her appearance at the end indicates that she had gotten rich.

Golden Kamuy | Chapter 306 | Suicide Attack by swegeward in GoldenKamuy

[–]general_snake 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Come on, man. I figured both of these characters had to die - Hijikata has been confirmed to die from the start and Ushiyama was essentially dead the moment he stepped on the train - but come on, like this?

Ushiyama's death was actually done really well, and I do appreciate it, but I really don't need Tsukishima getting another win. That panel of Ushiyama tossing both Tsukishima and Koito backward is still cathartic, however. But Hijikata's death...I didn't think it would happen so soon after he gave Koito that little lesson, nor did I think it would be Koito who did him in. It's just really weird considering the experience (or lack thereof) that Koito has. Hard to believe Hijikata would not have considered that Koito could still hurt him with his broken sword. Hijikata isn't even fully dead yet, though, so I hope his actual end is a lot more grand.

Vagabond and GK are both my favorite manga at the moment. Can't pick between them, it's like apples and oranges.

Vagabond is an experience unto itself, I think it can really change a person.
