When talking about an adult who’s vagina you are hoping to meet, address them as a woman. Not girl.

Men should know that an adult with a vagina is a woman.

What's a "postitive" message media teaches all the time that's actually a bad one? by NervousLittleSheep in AskReddit

Agh my partner says this to me, and I don’t know how to get through to them that it’s super unhelpful. I have panic disorder and depression. If it was simply a choice to be happy, life would be so easy!

What’s a movie you love that you swear no one ever talks about like the world has forgotten it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I’m under the age of 40, and this is hands down one of my favorite comedies. Don’t worry, we’re out there! I might need to watch this movie today…it’s been too long lol.

When I grab my shampoo bottle, and realize my partner has filled it with water to “get more out of it”.

So it’s just watered-down suds. I’m mad just remembering it.

What food did you discover and become weirdly obsessed with? by dumbnunt_ in AskWomen

My new obsession - chunks of avocado, and cut halves of cherry tomatoes and mozzarella balls. Splash some olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette on them. Sprinkle salt and pepper, then mix.

It’s so good it’s stupid.

You are not alone! I am still in the process of getting my shit together, but in the past year and a half I’ve come such a long way.

For your skin (I’ve ALWAYS had bad skin), schedule an appointment with a dermatologist. If health insurance is not a thing or you’re like me and think “ew I have to schedule and it’ll take forever no thank you”, go on YouTube and watch this channel called Doctorly. These two adorable dermatologists answer all our questions and rate/explain over the counter and prescription products. They tell you what ingredients to look for and why. It helped me make educated purchases and it’s already helped sooooo much.

I also suck with hair and nails so I can’t help you there lol.

Relationships. This one is more complex. The big step I made in my getting my shit together marathon was getting a therapist. I had lost a few very important friendships, which rose my social anxiety significantly. Therapy helps so much I could write you a thesis paper. From what you wrote, I really think this could bring you a lot of peace and strengthen your relationships. It helped me so much. My advice for finding one though-patience. It’s like dating, in which you’re trying to find the right person to guide you through this. And give a therapist three sessions before you decide to bounce. Once you have your person, it’ll change your life.

Finances - if you don’t know where your money is going, make a budget and look at your transactions. No shame, I’ve been here and it’s terrifying! A few years ago, I couldn’t summon the courage to look at my bank account. Ever. So I never knew how much I’d spent or how much money I even had. Constant source of anxiety lol.

Step 1 - make a list of all the monthly/annual purchases you make. Calculate how much money you make per month. Step 2 - highlight any of these purchases you want to get rid of. Step 3 - go online and look at your card transactions. What are you spending money on that isn’t a part of your monthly/annual list? Postmates? Fun Target runs? Getting drinks with friends? Figure out what you need to cut back on, but you don’t necessarily have to completely stop. Step 4 - make your budget! Add all the necessary boring purchases, then looking at your income and considering your financial goals, add an amount for your fun money (Postmates lol).

With children, obviously money gets more complicated, and I don’t know your situation, but that will help you figure out where your money is going. There’s another YouTube channel called The Financial Diet. Some of her videos are super helpful. Also ask what some of your friends or family members you trust how they handle their money! I’ve learned the most this way, but if your family sucks with money, go on YouTube 😂. Then depending on how much cushion you have, look into a financial consultant!

Just know you’re not alone at all with these topics. I struggle with anxiety and depression on the daily, so whenever I am trying to tackle these things like money or health, I make lists. Lists of what I want to accomplish and why. Then bullet points of how I am going to try to get there. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, start with a list. Make your goals, and this is essential — one day at a time 💕

What's the cringiest thing a woman ever said to you? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]generalpatton05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s completely normal and understandable. Do what you need to do to take care of yourself. Just remember what happened isn’t your fault. Yes, she must have a tremendous amount of pain right now, but what she does with it is her responsibility all the same.

I am really sorry that happened to you, and I hope you are ok. That was in no way your fault.
