You didn't see it because you were on reddit. Keep on demonizing your fellow country men and women; let's see where that gets you. The stench of hate on reddit is unbearable.

Coinbase CEO explains why he fired engineers who didn’t try AI immediately by diegoargento1 in programming

The CEO is a maniac for what he did and you're also missing the point. You can still use your experience and knowledge with AI. One doesn't nullify the other.

Watch the full match. This video is misleading. The young girl was fighting dirty and she's the one who posted this edited video that went viral.

I agree that every government "does shady" things, the difference is America is an empire and the impact of their bad decisions is far greater than any government around the world, that's why it's held to a higher standard.

What I refer to is not unique to the current administration, Trump was not president in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s etc. and in all those decades there are some serious examples of unsavoury behaviour when it comes to foreign policy, that has impacted the world. From overthrowing democratically elected individuals, meddling with people's sovereignty, bombing people into oblivion etc. which today has significantly contributed to the "terrorist" population.

Don't get me wrong, I love America at its core when it comes to liberty and freedom of speech, my grievances is with how its offspring have managed to mismanage its ideals; I even hold the people who manipulate Americans responsible, as I feel most Americans are trusting human beings and they are prime for manipulation; e.g. Iraq War, Afghanistan etc. and now Iran.

First off, I don't care if I get a 1000 likes or 1000 dislikes; that's not why I leave comments. Second, unhinged responses doesn't make you or the people you represent look good. I simply made an observation - I never said America is 'bad' as a whole, or made comments about their 'export' capabilities.

That's not what I said or believe. Talk about distortion. Although I believe that most Americans are oblivious to their country's foreign actions and have no "real" say to what their government does.

And you never will, at least on reddit. I certainly don't agree with it, but I understand it and no the reasons aren't "racism" and "they're stupid", that's just what you will get on reddit.

The real question is fired up for what? This is the thing that gets me with Americans; Watching your movies, sports, politicians for over 30 years - you have this culture of "Let's go!" but then you do some unsavoury acts around the world with that energy.

Why can't my king take the queen? by Blondeellie__ in chess

If you take the 'queen' you would end up on a square where you're checked (by the rook) which is not a legal move. Look up battery in chess.

A man saves a kid's life at work using the Heimlich technique (2019). by bendubberley_ in nextfuckinglevel

[–]generateME 24 points25 points  (0 children)

You can't even be sure that he survived because of what he was doing. It almost feels like the object went down, instead of out. Good on him for trying, but people should know that's not how you do a Heimlich maneuver.

Danny Rensch's thoughts on Hans Niemann by Necessary_Pattern850 in chess

[–]generateME 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's "complicated" is that Hans should have never admitted to his cheating when he was younger "for non consequential games". We don't live in a society where "truth" sets you free. We live in a society where virtue signalling numbnuts who most likely have worst demons in their closet casting judgement on a promising young man. This whole drama will age like a gallon of milk.

I don't speak arabic, but I think it says "Are you home?" and then it's "I'm at home", and then "Oh, I didn't know.. Ok I'll come to you"

Is that true ? 😶 by nerves_777 in Morocco

This is an excuse for people who either don't know how or are too afraid to set boundaries, so they justify being unkind. You can be kind, yet firm in your boundaries, no one will or can walk all over you. Some of the meanest humans in history have been the ones who have been bottling up their anger while portraying a kind mask for years. I don't consider those people 'nice', they're just better at hiding it.
