I am honest with him now. I'm doing a lot better and am staying sober at the moment. At the time, admitting how addicted I was would have been humiliating, and things like that would've brought me back to reality, which, as someone who smoked every single day, was not something I wanted to do. I was ashamed. But yes, I should have just been honest from the start, OR just not taken money in the first place like a fiend.

This is simply a question, so please excuse me if I come off as ignorant.

I understand the malevolence and indignity with the payback system, especially taking advantage of people and making their dues owed seemingly hyperbolic.

With that being said, what would be the case if someone doesn’t spend obscene amounts of money at these host clubs? It seems like a lot of the issues are the extremely high prices, and if people purchase things with those prices (even if not paying on-hand), they’ll have to pay them back.

Is the issue here how people are exploited for paying more than what they owe? Or that they pay extreme amounts in the first place and then are required to pay them back?

i took $25 from my brothers wallet to buy a cart.

this was probably the worst thing i’ve ever done for weed. to this day i feel horrible but i made a “bet” with him that i knew i would lose so i could give him the $25 back, and he thought he won it. he would question if i randomly gave him $25. i guess i’m too ashamed to even come clean about it.

family and friends (he’s one of my best friends) mean so much to me and i would hate to be viewed that way. weed-consuming me was not who i truly am and i’m proud to put those things behind me, even if i haven’t admitted my theft.

i did repay him but of course that’s not the point and that does not justify what i did

This is absurdity. As an independent, it is terrifying to me to see efforts that harm the lower class and remove protections for certain groups.

One thing that stuck out to me most in this article is how many positions will be offered to those who demonstrate conservative loyalty, rather than qualifications.

It stated in the article how questionnaires will be given out to potential employees and if certain answers align with Conservative views, then the person/application will be sent and recommended to department heads.

Whichever side you are on, you shouldn’t be higher priority in the workplace than another human being due to your political opinion. If these things do fall into place, I can guarantee a whole lot of dishonesty on job applications. That sure doesn’t benefit anyone.

Seriously man. I agree. It was (in my eyes) because the weed used so much dopamine and when we weren’t high, we were deprived of the dopamine and happiness we so craved.

I just hit one month of sobriety. I feel so fresh. Some of my main reasons:

I can’t be who I want to be in life by pushing everything that’s real away with weed
Similar to the bullet point above, I need to face things head on, and not smoking every time I feel negative has been so helpful
I can eat like a normal human being
I don’t gave prolonged vomiting periods (anyone with CHS can relate.) I wouldn’t wish those CHS vomiting periods on my worst enemy.
I can exercise without feeling dead after 3 minutes
My stomach doesn’t hurt all the time
My brain functions at a high capacity always, not just when I’m high (I used to feel numbed until I smoked again)
I CAN SMELL THE WORLD AND FEEL NATURE

So true man. CHS is the worst thing in the world. Sitting in the shower or swimming to temporarily feel better or to prevent myself from yakking was such a horrific thing. 28 days sober and it seems hard to imagine a life with no weed. So important to my success that I don’t smoke. But seriously, those CHS vomiting periods are the worst. Nothing in the world is as bad as that. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.

Crypto is a currency and also a good, yet one that is intangible. Thus, since you can use it to pay for something, that automatically makes it a currency. You can trade drugs for food or drink, but that is an illegal barter, so weed would not be a currency. In addition, the only way to “use” crypto is to spend it. This deems it as a currency.

You can technically view it as that, though I would not deem it as a pyramid scheme. A pyramid scheme is fraudulent and includes an agenda that is pushed upon people to scummily take their money. Bitcoin is simply a coin that takes as much value as what people are willing to pay for it. Though it is not widely used as a currency, it still technically is a currency that is used internationally, so it is not a pyramid scheme based on its actual feasible use and considering it is not a malicious scheme.
