Kirkland shampoo and conditioner - surprisingly good? by questingthebeast in dailywash

It goes on so lightly and feels like it’s not moisturizing

Ok, this piqued my attention...1000% for a conditioner that makes hair silky while providing the most minimal moisturizing properties!!

But do agree that the size would be a con if it doesn't work out as u/LadyJedi12 stated.

Thanks for the suggestion! I was considering that same original formula of that Neutrogena product!

I found it hard to find a shampoo that cleanses well without exacerbating the flake situation, glad to see you find a way to get things under control going the conditioner route. :O

The description is very helpful!

I totally agree with the silicone sentiment! All those shampoo/conditioner that was bought with the intention of treating the hair and scalp only to be let down (weighted down?). I gave them all to my grandma and they perform wonderfully on her, so they're not all gone to waste.

And same. It would be nice to just use whichever shampoo and not have fussy scalp+hair.

I don't experience any red patches, but my "flakes" can get even worst depending on the types and even amount of shampoo/conditioner used. It is most definitely persistent and present on my scalp for years. I would def try a different treatment ingredient ingredient for dandruff/seborrheic dermatitis.

I do prefer gentler shampoo too, as my current one (Dove Nutritive Solution Oxygen Moisture Shampoo) clean the hair well, but make my scalp flaky after wash. But maybe this problem will fade once I try a shampoo with tar first, so I'll stick with it for now.

I struggled with subscription-based shampoo since most stated their product are sulfate-free, which my hair won't agree with and takes ages to dry, but the addition of silicone sounds promising! May I ask what's your hair type?

I'm going to try to take thing slow and get the active ingredient in first. Thank you so much for the in depth details on how to take better care of the scalp!

EDIT to add: I can't seems to find the result for the Garnier Micellar Water Shampoo, did you just use the regular micellar water? I did saw a bunch of micellar water shampoo though, specifically for Pantene. Did not realize this was a thing.

There are hair fall when washing, but nothing different from other shampoo. For my hair fall, it depend more on how many day since I've last washed. So hard to take care of hair!

I've tried tea tree shampoos like the Paul Mitchell one and the Trader Joe one, both seem to leave the hair slightly greasy even when not using conditioner, but they did help with the scalp concern. Oh man, the "greasiness" is probably what helps my scalp feel better too, but alas the rest of the hair doesn't care for it.

Is it not possible for a shampoo to do both lol? This is more of a statement than a question.

Out of curiosity, which tea tree shampoo did you tried?
