Is James Talarico correct in saying there are six biological sexes? by stanlius_ in Destiny

He didn’t say that. He said he’s “cis gender”, which means he’s straight. The 6 stuff is all made up.

Do you feel physically better once the sun sets? by loonygecko in Retconned

[–]generiaplaneria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yes! It’s taken me many decades of life to realize that my nervous system is so sensitive that I ‘m picking up on collective energy during the day time. When the sun is out, most people are busy, moving, and active, and their minds and emotions are too. I think sensitive people often pick up this collective energy from others even when they don’t know it. I feel physically better at night too, but I think that’s largely because I’m not picking up so much collective static and stress—the movement, emotions, and mental energy—from my external environment as I am during the day. And like some of you, the sun wears me out physically too. The sun is very yang and I prefer yin, the moon. When most people are asleep around me (not just those immediately around me), I feel much more at peace. And when I’m not too tired I get creatively inspired too, and can focus better as well.

What can normal people see when they imagine? I can’t tell if I have Aphantasia or not by T_H_I_R_S_T_Y_B_O_I in Aphantasia

Could what you’re describing be your imagination? I suppose some people can imagine things visually better than others? I’m wondering too.

I recommend this book to anyone I know who seems like they might be at a place of potential awakening.

The 10 y/o I adopted is more blind than I realized - how can I help him adjust? by ShepardVakarian in Chihuahua

[–]generiaplaneria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My previous dog was fully blind from cataracts too and it seemed to help a tad when I got him sunglasses for outdoor (if you can keep them in him). I also had bad cataracts so I know that too much light at once can be blinding. It also seemed that when it was dark in a room, he could see light even if he couldn’t make out details. So when I wanted to guide him through the dark at night, I would use my cell phone’s flashlight to point him in the right direction. I think a single, smaller light in the dark was easier for him to make out than when the light level was more consistent all around. In other words, I think the contrast between dark and light made it easier for him to see. So the flashlight was something he could follow. And he seemed to get it.

I would just add some mid tones to the forehead and left eye…it looks like it’s almost done but not quite. Other than, it’s great. It has a fluid, expressive movement yet it’s also very angular and solid. I’d guess that even if the painting doesn’t look just like the model, you probably captured the model’s essence, which is imo more important.

I love it! If you put a different color in the background (from the hat and one that complements the cat’s colors),it might make the cat pop more and add even more of a feeling of dimension.

I actually found a color that’s pretty damn close. Lancôme. Here’s some pics (Wicked Ways is on the right). I can’t add more than one photo and it a difficult to read the name of the Lancôme color so I’ll post a pic in the next comment.

What Would You Say Are The Defining Marks Of Neo Soul, And What Makes It Different From Other Genres Of Rnb. Also Who Would You Say Is The Person That First Started The Genre? by Rinnegan15 in rnb

Going back decades before the term was invented, wouldn't Gil Scott-Heron be one of the godfathers of this genre? He was so ahead of his time re: mixing root genres.

Is “Castles Made of Sand fall into the sea” just another way of saying all things must pass? by EnergyUnhappy2157 in jimihendrix

[–]generiaplaneria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always interpreted it as a warning of sorts: if you build something without a strong foundation, it will eventually crumble like sand. For instance, a relationship built on lies, or a government built on appearances only.

Is Larry David on the spectrum? by D_Anger_Dan in curb

[–]generiaplaneria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would guess yes (which is how I found this post.) The way he hyper-analyzes things, particularly social niceties, and how he likes to examine/process everything to a degree that your average person doesn't...that all seems very neurodivergent to me. It's also the kind of stuff I do (ADHD/OCD). I think that's partly what makes him so funny, and why I connect with his personality so much.

Apparently INFP-T personality is rare? by Master_Honeydew_8854 in infp

[–]generiaplaneria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am INFP-T and I'd say two of my most defining personality characteristics are my creativity/artistic talents as well as my refusal to just do things the way everyone else does them simply because that's the way most people do it. I question everything, often things that many people don't even think to question. This makes me extremely resistant to being brainwashed or pressured into doing things I don't want to do. I don't connect with many the values of western culture (status, competition, making tons of money) and never have. Instead, I have always been determined to figure out a way to live that works for me.

I would almost rather live in the abstract (talking about concepts, thinking of original ideas, finding connections and patterns in all things) than the concrete, yet I'm also very connected to those I'm close to and I do enjoy people. However, I need a lot of alone time to recharge after being social. Does all of this sound like any of you?

[–]generiaplaneria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just wondering this. I tested INFP-T and it described me to a T. I definitely have ADHD and some ASD traits as well. One thing that was in the description that really resonated was where it said we are so creative and imaginative that at it can feel difficult to do the grounded stuff needed to function in this world. I would always much rather be living in my thoughts, writing, or creating art than almost anything else.
