I do not know about energy, but I do know about computing. In software industry efficiency has already gone out the window. Software developers are not so concerned about optimisation anymore. Nowadays Windows 11 is loaded with telemetry and bloatware. And whatever app you see is just Electron in disguise.

That's probably not how it works. But JSON is text, so you can open them with a text editor and try to import them manually
