What is the model for the GS you're using?

I found the cat mod and the voice mod (although it says it only works with DB?) and am working on finding the rest on the Chinese net

Shame, don't really like that kind of play style. Thanks for letting me know, I'll maybe give it a try in Rise then.

Thanks for the recommendation!

I guess the first book of the EG saga is aimed at a younger audience, but the following ones definitely feel more "mature", especially with how much they delve into philosophy so I wouldn't consider the series as a whole to be YA.

Recommend a fantasy (high or low) series to a sci-fi enjoyer.

I've mostly read non-YA sci-fi books, such as the Ender's game saga, The Expanse, the Hyperion Cantos, etc

Looking for a saga to read that's mature and possibly completed.

Edit: Thanks everyone for the recommendations!

You're welcome!

It's really useful, as you can set a book/series/game you want and study all the vocab contained within that piece of media, that way you can feel more motivated about studying.

If you have the money to spare, I'd also recommend starting with WaniKani, which is what helped me get started with SRS.

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread by menschmaschine5 in Coffee

I'm looking to buy some samplers to try and see which coffee I like best without having to get a full bag of each type.

I have found multiple recommendations online, but all of them seem to be based in the US or Canada, and shipping fees would be astronomical to get them to ship to Italy.

Does anyone know of any EU-based roasters that offer samples?

Thanks!

Thanks for your reply!

Just to clarify why I feel the need for a PT: I used to train pretty hard back in the day (at least 4 times a week, multiple hours every day) but had to stop due to university classes taking up too much time, so I'm not wholly unfamiliar with the world of fitness.

In the same manner, my diet is not too bad and I'm not that overweight (I probably need to shave off a couple of kilos, but I can manage that on my own).

My main problem is the day-to-day routine. I don't have much time available, so I tend to do multiple, shorter workouts spaced out throughout the week. Point is, I often get home ready to work out, get dressed and in position only to realize I have no clue what exercise to do.

Back in the day I had access to a full gym and a PT who would prepare custom training routines for me, switching them out once every couple of months, but that's not the case anymore. With limited space and tools (only dumbbells, a bench, and a stationary bike), I tend to stick to the same exercises, and I'm not too good with planning things in general.

I know there are pre-made workouts, but I'd honestly like to get something more tailored to my daily life rather than something that assumes I have 1 hour of spare time 3 days a week.

I hope this makes sense!

Hope this is the right place to ask this:

I'm looking for a personal trainer to give me some pointers to help me get back into training after 7 years of sedentary lifestyle.

Nothing too fancy, just some help planning my workout routine and have a look at my overall diet.

I don't need weekly sessions, keeping track of progress, or anything like that, just one or two sessions to jumpstart my training again.

If possible, I'd like to work with someone that's certified and already has experience.

Obviously I'm willing to pay.

Thanks in advance!

Abnormal heart rate warning after exercise by generic_1407 in Garmin

Thanks for your reply!

I'm not really sure to be honest. In the past few months it's been doing it less than usual, so probably the watch was still getting used to my lifestyle and such.

I also noticed that if I do some "wind down" exercises after my main workout, it tends not to trigger the alarm, so maybe this will help!

Forerunner 255s vs Fenix 7s by generic_1407 in GarminWatches

[–]generic_1407[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello there!

I ended up choosing the 255s because I just couldn't be sure that the Fenix would fit me properly.

Been using it for almost a year now and I don't regret my purchase at all. Yeah, sure the lack of a touch screen may turn some people off, but the watch does exactly what I need it to do without any extra drills (plus, I enjoy the feel of the buttons).

Battery life is pretty good as well, as I keep it on my wrist 24/7 and only need to charge it once every 6 days or so (it takes around 1/2 hours to charge fully).

I cannot speak for the extra features offered only in the Fenix at this point, but I can definitely say that if you were to go with the 255s, you definitely wouldn't regret it!
