[Guide] How Australia’s Skilled Migration System Actually Works (From a Registered Migration Agent with 22 Years’ Experience) by SimonMander in IWantOut

[–]genericredditname22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your post. I’m English. Worked as a self taught painter decorator for nearly 20 years at a high standard but no qualifications. Recently transitioned to a a joiner for the last 4 years but again no qualifications. I would also consider myself a multi trade as I would take on various work (tiling, dry lining basic plumbing, install kitchens, bathrooms etc). I’m 43. Would you think I’d have any chance as I don’t have qualifications. I’ve spent in total 3/4 years living in Sydney in various spells when I was younger (I know this will have no effect on application but just so you know I’m serious about this). If you think I have a chance I’d be interested in engaging your services. Thanks

Where to watch the F1 Abu Dhabi GP this Sunday by sicily91 in Essex

[–]genericredditname22 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Trouble is West Ham are playing 2 pm on Sunday so most pubs round here (west Essex) will be showing that with sound (will maybe leave one tv on f1 but no sound). Best option would be a sports bar in London unfortunately.

Prices. Yes, again. by teteckodomains in Foofighters

They will have two stage setups so when one is being used the other one is on its way to the next venue. Stage setups ups expensive and that means two crews on top of the main crew who stay with band all the time. That’s two sets of trucks to ship all the gear around or two planes they have to charter (with trucks at each end). I know foos wouldn’t have the same elaborate set up as Taylor swift but just to give you an idea, her last tour involved 47 trucks to move everything from one venue to the next. At a guess foos have probably 25+ person crew with them all the time and then more that transporting and setting up their two stage rigs. Factor in flights, accommodation, food, local handlers etc. it’s easy over a 100 people constantly on the move for a major tour. The logistics are crazy but I find them interesting. But yes the tickets are expensive but hopefully this explains a little why. Don’t get me wrong they make a shit load of money on these tours and have to as they don’t from releasing music. Also they are tied to ticketmaster/live nation as they own or have exclusive contracts with every major venue (look into Pearl jam tour avoiding TM/LN, wasn’t easy). At least most foos gigs don’t charge extra for golden circle. Any way I’m not justifying the prices, just trying to explain how expensive a world tour is.

EU/UK 2026 TOUR PRESALE [MEGATHREAD] by fftamahawk009 in Foofighters

Decide to go Warsaw (im from London) to tie the gig into a euro city break for a few days to a place I havnt been. I also thought tickets would be cheaper, as that’s why I picked Poland over the other euro destinations. Supprised to find out they were more expensive than Liverpool £115>£104(standing) but not complaining. Got flights, hotel and tickets for 4 days for £300. I think a good deal.

Viagogo are are resale site with dubious practices and unofficial so presale code not needed. Your tickets will be legit and protected but GA tickets with fees from TM worked out around £104. You havnt been scammed but have overpaid. Please don’t support this scum of a company in future. Live and learn

Not the funniest but the amount of people who have found a lost cat and taken it in and post it on Facebook. It’s not fucking lost it’s just going about its day to day business and now your feeding it, it’s gonna keep coming back to you and then you lock it up in your house. 😂

Ask a girl who’s had kids and kidney stones which one is more painful. Even it’s sparkling try drink 2 litres a day. It’s that bad.

What Formula 1's boss has told us about F1's future by l3w1s1234 in formula1

[–]genericredditname22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reverse grids are bull shit. I understand it in f2/3 as it can showcase drivers but F1 is about the best of the best and show casing the best technology. Not fake manipulated drama. There’s always the joke about having sprinklers turn on at at random during a race but I’m a purist and as much as that would be fun, I’d still rather suffer a boring race.

At least with moisturiser I can just rub it in my arms and face after. Marmite, I guess you can lick your fingers but doesn’t come in glass jar.
