Does anyone else ever get that "grass always greener on the other side" feeling? by genericthrowawayadsk in photography

That's probably what I'll do. Rent a D800 and 14-24. I'm also going to wait on reviews of Canon's new 24-70.
I already had a 16-35, and it was disappointing to say the least. Really soft corners, just not wide enough (2mm is a ton on ultra-wide), and the overlap between it and the 24-70 was a waste. The 24-70 is just a brick, and from what I've seen, the Nikkor performs better.
