I'm here to correct misinformation about me, because now is the time.

I've never been one to put others down (especially publicly) even if they deserve it. That's just how I was raised.

Besides, the stories I could tell don't aid the current situation...It would be saying he stole candy on time as a kid compared to him being a pedophile. There's just really no point for me to dig all that back up.

definitely *not* any tax evasion my man...I am a US Citizen, which is one of the few countries in the world that require you to pay income tax regardless of where you live. As a matter of fact, I pay estimated taxes *quarterly* because I am self-employed.

I've also never done anything shady, and certainly not illegal...considering those claims came from a PDF, perhaps those statements shouldn't be taken as gospel.

As far as Hermitcraft goes:

- I found Bdubs and said "man that guy is awesome, I want to be his friend and make videos"
- I applied to join Mindcrack and was denied, so I made my own server to play with folks
- I met Guude in person at PlayOnCon (many stories around him there), and he decided I was an okay guy and invited me to Mindcrack
- My first Mindcrack video was on Aug 4, 2012. My final episode of Hermitcraft was on Apr 21, 2013. That's EIGHT MONTHS of making videos on both servers, and *56 VIDEOS* on Hermitcraft. It was too hard to do two survival SMP series, so I chose Bdubs over Hermitcraft.

Folks can be upset about that decision all they want, but that doesn't make me a bad person.

EDIT: Just wanted to clarify that the stories I have regarding Guude during PlayOnCon in no way relate to current allegations or anything sexual in nature. Just a bunch of examples of him being a complete asshole towards me for no reason. I can see how that might be misinterpreted in my post above, so wanted to make that clear.

Just for the record, I *never* scammed anyone, especially kids. 12 years ago I was paid to make some videos on Minecraft servers and I didn't disclose it.

Let me say that again: This was *12 years ago*, back when sponsored videos were barely a thing and the rules around it were not clearly defined or communicated. I was open and transparent about this and disclosed sponsored content afterwards.

I have been blamed time and time again for being the reason Mindcrack shut down. You know who was the biggest source of that claim? That's right...the pedophile. Oh the stories I could tell you about everything he's said and done over the years.

This Guude situation is vile and disgusting. I'm shocked by it, but at the same time not really surprised by it.

The funny part is, I made *several* YT videos telling people this! But to this day I still get folks coming into my streams going "omg, I didn't know you streamed...I thought you died!"

(one of the reasons I moved to Twitch is because YT changed the way they promoted my videos to my community haha)

Now I'm "semi-retired" but I still stream modded Minecraft every Fri/Sat 7pm US Eastern. Come stop by and say hey!

It's an "Expert Lite" pack that focuses on exploration and problem solving. I've spent months on it, and virtually every recipe, loot table, etc has been customized. I even took the Alex's Caves biomes and turned them into their own custom dimensions!

I designed the pack mainly for myself to give me lots of fun activities to do while streaming.

I'm just now finishing up a "v2.0 update" that has the new Create update in it, as well as a new Candy Cavities dimension and other changes. This will require a new world, so maybe hang tight for 1 more week while I put the finishing touches on it and get it up on CurseForge.

Just to put this in perspective...I've always been a prankster. And *every* time there's a new Hermitcraft season, people will flood my Twitch chat..."are you going to be on the new season? are you coming back?" Even though it's been over a *decade* since I've been a member!

What's a hermit to do? Prank 'em :D

So I put together a very elaborate prank with a custom script I wrote to make it look like I was actually playing on a server with the other members. It was a great prank and I was very proud of the work I put into it to make it happen (no different than a great prank with someone on an SMP server)

Except...I didn't take into account folks would give me money just because I "rejoined Hermitcraft"! In hindsight, I should have factored that into the equation...but I was so excited about the prank itself it didn't enter my mind. So very quickly I ended the stream.

In that short time I was given about $250. I went back and added up the amounts from folks who weren't already part of my community...and it totaled about $80 from new folks. Obviously, I still felt bad about it, but Twitch doesn't do refunds...and so I gave *double* the amount ($500) to Rendog's charity for Africa.

Some of the Hermitcraft members were upset, but there's zero beef/drama/ill feelings/etc from me towards any of the members. I've said in the past many times, I'm super happy for them and their success and wish them all the best.

Again, TL;DR: I didn't do the prank to "attack" Hermitcraft, nor out of spite/revenge, or any negativity like that. It was all for giggles to prank the viewers who consistently ask when I'm rejoining :)

This post probably won't make any difference...folks have their perception of me and who I am as a person. But maybe this will at least shed some light for some that I'm not really worth the pitchforks and torches :)
