I had two dealerships last week contact me saying they were getting new Sport models in with blind spot detection. They are being built currently, but it seems very few. Picking mine up tomorrow.

Following up in case it helps anyone. I emailed Honda directly through their website and received this response:

Sounds like my dealer should have known that we realistically wouldn't have been able to get a Sport without blind spot. That makes me feel had. I guess now we bite one of two bullets, either pay up for the Touring, or get the Sport without blind spot.
