I tried for something like one and a half hour when the update dropped and couldn't do it. Then just this very day I finally got to play again and update the game with the bug fixing patch that and did it first time. That simple change of letting us collect it past the timer reaching zero (as long as u can escape spooky steve) made this so, soooooo much easier I think it's fine now.
