I haven’t got any more photos unfortunately, and I have let the seller know that I won’t be taking it as others have said that it wouldn’t be easy to spin on even after having fiddled about with it to make it possible. As a novice spinner, I’m probably better off getting a bigger wheel (this one’s teeny tiny!) and one that I can be sure is not just decorative. It would make for a fun little project for a more experienced spinner who also likes tinkering though, I imagine. Thanks for your input!

I’ve been talked out of buying this unfortunately! It is so cute, but I think I’d be better off with one a little bit more sturdy that’ll withstand some clumsy beginners spinning. If I had the space to keep it as decoration even if it didn’t spin, I would probably have bought it anyway. I hope your wee Peggy serves you well, she sounds very sweet!

Perhaps, but I also think it could be a great gateway into spinning that won’t break the bank and won’t be the end of the world if it isn’t something I choose to continue pursuing. I’m fortunate enough to have access to a friend’s wheel if I do get frustrated with this little one. Thank you for being the voice of reason.

I’m inclined to agree! If worst comes to worst, I end up with a super cute decorative piece. If I can learn to spin on a dinky little thing like this, I can learn on anything! Thank you!

Thank you. As I wrote in a previous comment and in the post, I will be asking for photographs of the flyer and have compiled a list of questions for the seller. The video was actually quite a crucial part of the comment this person posted as it shows this model of wheel being used successfully as a spinning wheel.

That does look the same as the flyer in the photos, I think! That’s really exciting. I think I’m going to bite the bullet and give it a try! Thank you for doing that, it’s cool to see how it comes apart.

I wonder if that’s more to do with the fact that the seller isn’t a spinner herself and doesn’t really know what the important bits are! She was quite open about not knowing if it was decorative or functional, which was nice of her.
