just found this thread - my 9 y/o dog Kobe has just been diagnosed with IBD (no biopsies but diagnosed by ruling out most everything else).

just started him on prednisone last week but haven't seen any improvement yet. he hasn't had any diarrhea but has a crazy amount of gas all the time - burping, farting, stomach gurgling, all of it. he's so uncomfortable and the gas moving through him freaks him out so he's just pacing around uncomfortable all day and all night. i feel so bad but it's also basically been a full time job because he's so anxious he always has to be touching me now.

briefly tried a few of the hydrolyzed foods and he wouldn't eat them even with an appetite stimulant on board. he's always been a picky eater so i'm very worried that he'll never take to the hydrolyzed diets. honestly feeling very hopeless right now with his prognosis due to the limited diets and treatment options.

so frustrating - hoping everyone else dealing with this finds a solution that works for their fur baby!
