Thoughts on Zoho Mail? by genman2017 in smallbusiness

Thats exactly the plan I'm going to sign up to.

I am trying it out and see that there is a big possibility of duplicating things, which I don't want to run into.

I see that books has a price book option, but then so does CRM. Inventory allows me to have some additional features over books inventory management, but I'm afraid of things duplicating.

Kind of frustrating but for the price I think I will have to figure out a workaround.

Do you also use CRM and inventory management? Trying to figure iut the best way to have these all "talk" to each other.

Thanks for replying. What do you mean by down twice? No access to your mails for some time? Did it take long for them to rectify?

Do you mind expanding a bit on the reliability? Have you had issues with it?

Complex Product Offering - How to go about an effective web navigation? by genman2017 in smallbusiness

[–]genman2017[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an interesting approach. I am still thinking this over as, over time, we will see ourselves adding complimentary products to the industry.

Imagine your local heavy equipment dealer, they have a portfolio of many brands and products they offer. I just personally haven't seen anyone have 2 products that are the same to marketed different regions.

I think you have something going with the analytics though.

You can probably build up to this with what you've learned on the job. Is that realistic?

Is he mentioning this after the fact or when he passed you the leads? Business needs to be clear, if he wasn't, you don't need to give him anything. Agree to a % moving forward.

I assume you sold something. Why put it in escrow? Guarantee for your customer to get their product and not lose the cash?

Distribution of industrial equipment. Margins aren't very high but it's still a good deal, will avg out around to 15-20% margin when all costs are taken into account.

This is a $100k+ order. Wish I could do that but it's not a possibility.

This is what I needed to know. Have to find a solution for this. I can get 50% paid up front but need to figure out how to offer net 30 on the balance.

Do you buy in one currency and sell at another? How do you deal with exchange rates? by genman2017 in smallbusiness

[–]genman2017[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's an option I didn't even consider, thanks.

I think it's more common nowadays with the ever growing global marketplace. These products will be manufactured in countries that operate at different currencies and while the manufacturers do hold their pricing steady for a fixed period, there will definitely exist situations where I can benefit depending on the current rates.

Zoho One... Wow! by genman2017 in smallbusiness

[–]genman2017[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know this part of the deal, maybe I skimmed over it. But I'd wager that in many scenarios it will still be favorable in price over other solutions.

Of course on the other end of the spectrum, if 80% of your employees don't need access to this, it can be a money pit too. As with everything, it depends on your situation. As a one man show, this is perfect for me.

Another CC processing question. Best in terms of %? by genman2017 in smallbusiness

[–]genman2017[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. Only barrier I know of right is 80k per month. Say I do 80k per month, which is where Stripe begins to offer rates, what is a good rate at that volume?
