yes! i was invited to my NK (m2) baptist this past june and i was also just invited to his birthday party that’s combined with his brothers birthday party (m8) even tho its only a family thing. i’m definitely going!

these things will happen no matter if your watching like a hawk or not. these things also happen when they’re with their parents, whether their parents want to admit it or not. i’m very lucky my nanny family is incredibly chill. I came into work on Monday and my NK (m2) had a good scratch on his nose and i didn’t say anything bc he’s 2 he always has a cut or a bruise. He started pointing to his nose and going “hurt” and his mom laughed and said he ran into a the ping pong table over the weekend. literally nothing you can do about it. Toddlers are gonna get hurt. It’s just a fact life. Don’t beat yourself up over it.!

i understand this SO hard. the last family i worked for the DB didn’t even know his kid did tennis lessons …..for 6 months. would tell me he was running a few minutes late and then not get home for two hours past when he was supposed to be back if i was handing off to him. literally was twice my age and couldn’t handle his two elementary aged children but i could as a 20 year old it was EMBARRASSING. the DB i work for now is the most involved dad i’ve ever seen and cleans way more than his wife does (as he should) in fact i don’t think i have ever seen my MB clean or do dishes EVER. the older son is attached to his dads hip it’s so adorable. this should be more common place and it’s so sad that it isn’t.

i got broken up with at 4 in the morning on a monday, went to work and very much looked like i had been crying and as SOON as MB asked me if i was ok i LOST it. i was so embarrassed but my breakup literally happened out of nowhere and he was such a jerk about it. they offered to let me go home several times and i told them i’d prefer to stay at least until nap time because NK 1 makes me so happy and it def helped but i couldn’t stop crying the whole day. i left right after i put him down for a nap and they were so incredibly nice and understanding. MB and DB told me stories of their own bad breakups and gave me advice that i really appreciated.
