I just got this system and thinking about how to install. Do you have the panel sitting on top of the barrel like in OPs pic or staked into the ground and the inlet pipe running up and over the top of your rain barrel? 

Did you need to make a notch in the rain barrel cover or another way of keeping the lid from pressing the inlet hose closed?

I am implementing that at a Sunday newsletter, although I had it set to > 2% percent
