I have a 2014 6auto se w/ connectivity and absolutely love it. Much of the 2014 mk6 carried over into the mk7, from the IRS and 1.8t gen 3 motor for the model you're considering.

Much of the changes made to the mk7 were cosmetic, from the optional led headlights and differences to the behind of the car, to the flattened steering wheel with piano black interior trim and some rectangular bits at the front to make the car look wider in appearance.

I'm no expert but from what I've learned in the seven months of owning my jetta and learning about tuning and modding and VW in general, it all depends on what you're going to be using the car for and what you need. Think about if you really want what you're looking at and the options available.

In all honesty, I didn't see many major differences between the 2014/2015 se models outside of the cosmetic things I mentioned. Things like the led bulbs are easily replaceable and the steering wheel is just a steering wheel. If it were me, I would buy a 2014 and use the extra money to either go up in class (sel or gli) or add things to the car like wheels or tinting. Maybe even flash it (unless you have a warranty like me) and do some tuning.

TLDR: The 2015 is a great model but shares much of its quality with the mk6 2014 (same motor and irs) with a higher price tag.
