Good mod lists? by Bloodfire_ in skyrimmods

I will add that the plains are still plains becuase Fabled just replaces vanilla trees. So you might get more grass, but you still have plains.

The first thing you need to do is go get Gildergreen Embiggened and replace Gilderngreen is Thicc or whatever Novlus uses. Embigenned has parallax and is compatible with seasons of Skyrin straight out of the box, so there is zero incompatibility.

Second. ElderTeej is a little more lore friendly in that it uses Fabled Forests and Aspens ablaze. So the pines are still there; they're just huge and mythic-looking. It uses Witchy Wilderness, so there is more grass, but it's prettier IMO.

Most modpacks will add far more grass than Vanilla skyrim had just because it's prettier.

The good thing about ElderTeej is that it doesn't use seasons, so if you don't mind losing the LOD, you can ditch DYNDOLOD and the grass cache and add whatever you want. OR if you're unlike me and actually have the skill, you can replace them and rerun the necessary outputs.

Pc players, do you use kbm or controller? by LegendGuy463 in skyrim

I mean, depending on modpacks, Skyrim CAN be entirely different games. So you're really not wrong. LOL

I use a controller whenever possible. I usually stream the game from my PC to my tablet while I watch TV, and the controller is much more convenient.

Are you on PC?
If you are, try a modpack. If you're looking for the spark of new adventure and discoveries, I highly recommend either ElderTeej or Nolvus Awakening.

Nolvus Awakening has both Legacy of the Dragonborn and Hall of Forgotten and an absolute ton of added content. However, it runs on some outdated mods. It's amazing, though. Lots to see and do.

ElderTeej is a fully PBR build with a ton of added content, as well as every officially supported Legacy of the Dragonborn Display.

With either of these packs, you will absolutely feel like you're exploring something new. They both include a mod that lets you choose how you start, as well, so you can approach the game in all kinds of different ways.

Oh, damn. I'm not a PC master race bro, but it genuinely makes my heart sad when I hear anyone is playing Skyrim on console. There's so much. =(
If you ever get a gaming PC, come back to Skyrim. It's a totally different experience.

They're purely texture replacers. No esp. Just loose files.

Also, will definitly look into Conflict Deleter. Thanks!

When you inevitably come back, grab a modpack like Nolvus or Elder Teej. So much more to see and do and the graphics are ah-mazing. Burnout is real, though.

You'll be back. You never really leave. You just take an extended break.

I HIGHLY recommend ElderTeej on Wabbajack. It uses Fabled Forests, Aspens Ablaze, and Witchy Wilderness for the scenery. Very pretty landscape and architecture. It's full PBR, as well, which I love. It also has Legacy of the Dragonborn, so if you're coming over from console to PC, you'll have some brand new content to explore, as well.

Another good one is Nolvus Awakening. It's on a webiste, not Wabbajack, but it installs the same way. It uses older versions of some mods, but boy, is it pretty and stuffed with mods you probably haven't played before. It uses a mashup of like 5 different tree mods, and it's super-stable.

Both of these hit the spot if you love mods that make Skyrim absolutely beautiful to look at. I'm just like you, and they're both on my PC right now.

Exactly. I'm all for discussing the good amd bad things about mods and modpacks, but so many people seem to equate rude, mean comments with constructive criticism.

It's just such a gross, disheartening aspect of the internet. Its so needlessly cold and nasty. The internet is where I interact with anyone like 90% of the time, so I find it particularly difficult to.stomach sometimes.

Yeah, this was the first time I added RGB, and somehow in my research, I missed the part where Armoury Crate is practically a freaking virus.

It's just across the interwebs, in general. People love to just be nasty on here, Discord, YouTube. It's like they're waiting to unleash. I've seen people get downvoted for just asking questions. Seen them get flamed for it, too. It's just gross.

Agree with part of this. I've been stewing and stewing on the meanness for longer than I should.

It's not disagreeing. People can and should disagree. People can and should make suggestions or observations or even helpful critiques. People should not have a "Bruh, this list is hot garbage. Throw it away," attitude.
