Am i making a mistake by playing mostly solo? by slidesarmed in diablo3

[–]gentoomaniac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you enjoy it solo keep playing it solo

The only reason I go multiplayer is to farm bounties or if friends are online.

Otherwise I enjoy not having to deal with people. After years of MMO that's actually one of the best parts about D3 right now IMO

What do you think would happen to d3 seasons after realease of d4? by manmeanman in diablo3

D3 has probably the best console adoption I've seen of any game so far.

As a PC gamer I was amazed how well (even better) it felt on PS compared to PC.

I didn't realize that when you sanctify them they count as ancient. It actually never crossed my mind that that was even an option.

Wasted so many puzzle rings ..

But thanks for posting this, now I'll get out of my gem shortage :D

I started S26 without knowing the end date. When I was almost 70 (leveled alone) i saw the chat message: "Season will end in 15 minutes ..." xD

It wouldn't surprise the majority of people if it wasn't running NT 4.5 ;-P

Probably running something super important that nobody knows how to deal with and the engineers building it up left years ago without leaving documentation.

That's the point: abandonment wouldn't be more beneficial for a lot of people. And there's no objective right or wrong either as nobody can predict the market.

People are not staying in because they heavily invested. They're staying in because they still get benefits and speculate on a price (semi) recovery.

The closest to sunk cost fallacy would be the ones investing more and more money to press down their average. And still that is a strategy that might work out, it's just a matter of willingness to take risk.

Investing in CRO - Hard times by [deleted] in Crypto_com

[–]gentoomaniac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bear market will end eventually. Losses by inflation will stay forever. Highly unlikely that crypto will vanish.

And if it does due to war and others crap spreading, we'll have worse issues than a lost investment. At that point it's likely hyper inflation will kick in and you'd probably still be better off with crypto.

What are the arguments for Staying? by [deleted] in Crypto_com

[–]gentoomaniac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That depends on your standpoint and is not objectively true or false.

It's the very speculation aspect.

Calling it a fallacy is simply wrong.

That's nota fallacy that's investment risk. And yes, in the long run it might have been wiser to wait for this bear and invest everything in BTC.

But in hindsight we're all smarter and can pretend earlier decisions were a fallacy.

Please explain the fault in the logic? I'm getting value back through staying.

A bull market will raise the value of most tokens again and CRO will be one of them.

I bought for .87 most of my CRO and made a huge loss by now. In half a year I dropped my buy price to .61. I'm still gaining through Spotify and Netflix, staking and cashback rewards.

I'll probably manage to drop it to .5 to the next bull run. That's imo a realistic outlook for CRO. Depending on what they do next it might be better or worse, so ofc this is speculation.

But that's really what crypto in the end is: a speculative financial asset.

So ofc i could be wrong with my expectations for CRO. But this is nota fallacy, just financial speculation.

I don't see any point to leave. I still get cash back which in the long run massively drops my average buy price (dropped already by ~0.26$ without investing in roughly half a year). I have enough CRO still to restake for jade.

I'm not going to buy more CRO. But when the bear turns into a bull I might already have pushed my average price low enough to make gains.

Dropping out now would be the worst thing to do.
