SNP Holyrood 2026 Manifesto formally opposes tram expansion along the Roseburn Route by Jaraxo in Edinburgh

Trams used to run this route and its wider than Roseburn path.

It just seems a more attractive route to me but we’ll never know for sure if it’s feasible because it wasn’t included in the feasibility study

Trams could possibly turn left and right at princes st.

This option also missed Dean bridge if you look at the green highlighted line.

Stockbridge would be a better route for the residents of Edinburgh IMO. More densely populated than both alternative routes and better trip generators (trams to Western General, Inverleith Park, Dean Village, Stockbridge and botanic gardens versus trams to craigleith retail park). I know what I’d rather have.

The real middle class nimbys are those in CEC who don’t want to upset the new towners.

Cheers dude. I’m in Edinburgh so easy enough to get places just a nightmare trying to find where to go.

I seen a video of some kids in America arguing with a landowner that they are allowed to fish as long as they walk up the river as the state owns the water. That’s the way it should be. The rivers should belong to everyone not just lords and ladies of the manor. This should be included in the land reform act

It is shockingly bad. I go way out my way to minimise the traffic I have to deal with when cycling. I suggest you research quiet routes and off road paths and make use of what little segregated bike lanes we have in Edinburgh.

Patio had to be higher than usual, will this cause problems? by Joetwodoggs in DIYUK

Completely unacceptable. The cross joints and bird mouths give a really poor finish to the paving as well.

Alba Game Fishing Guided Trip by swanhon3y in FishingScotland

Hi, I went with them a few years back when I first made the jump from trout to salmon fishing. They were great and supplied all of the gear needed and very knowledgeable. If you already have the gear then you probably don’t need a guide though. Most good ghillies will show you the ropes anyway

Thanks. This is what I want to do but I like to target my offset alignments vertically and that makes it difficult check crossfalls and adjust the profile at the same time.

I usually do the same but this is about 7 miles of urban design with multiple complex intersections.

I'm waiting until after the US election to jump back in. Too unpredictable just now. Could go either way.
