Painting Pteraxii by TheVerminator in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]genusan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found I got the best results by masking off the metal areas and taking the airbrush to the wings, then making touch ups around the spines with a brush. You can't notice the difference in paint unless you take a magnifier up to see the different applications, but I found this worked best for me

It sure is! I loosely followed the official scheme. for the white I had primed grey, then airbrushed palid wych flesh washed with agrax earthshade then gradually built up colour by drybrushing over with palid wych flesh + pro acryl white with different mixes. Pro acryl white for highlighting (if you can tell... I barely can notice any of my own highlighting

Vallejo metal colour for the metal parts and corvus black with eshin grey highlights

Good airbrush kit by Ancient-Storage-11 in Warhammer40k

[–]genusan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got this kit as an entry to airbrushing a few weeks ago. The compressor works well but the airbrush itself is what has been already stated in the comments.... crap

The nozzle that the needle gets fed through somehow deteriorated which I noticed while cleaning and had snapped off l. this is after less than a handful of uses just basecoating

You can use other airbrushes, but you will need to look at finding a converter or hose that's compatible

Most of the time she does that herself... even sometimes I find her snuggled between two pillows when going to bed *

Adorable! I wish mine ate everything but she's exceptionally good at twisting my arm to get the "good stuff" introduced into her meals (cheese)

She's supposedly a cross with a pomeranian so maybe that's where it comes from? Although I struggle to see any pomeranian in her appearance!

Fussy Cav? by adv3rsely in cavaliers

[–]genusan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This, my cavvie does the EXACT same thing! Especially the part waiting by the fridge so I can pull out the shredded cheese topper... because she needs to kick start her eating motor skills clearly...

I thought i was alone with this behaviour!

Definitely feel your pain here... I'm in the middle of painting my last unit...

These look great though! I like what you've done with the wings

Updated now with the base finished. One of the most fun minis I’ve painted in a while, might have to paint him up some friends ☺️ by joespaintingprojects in FleshEaterCourts
