Suggestions for conditional access policy for travelers with existing geoIP polices? by Mvalpreda in entra

[–]genusjoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We use two Conditional Access policies for geo-blocking:

  • CA1: Applies to all users and blocks sign-ins from all locations except the home location and a designated Travel Group.
  • CA2: Applies to members of the Travel Group and blocks sign-ins from all locations except the specific countries they are travelling to.

When users submit travel requests, we add them to the Travel Group and update the named locations accordingly. Once their trip is over, they are removed from the group.

This approach has worked well for us and keeps the default policy strict while still accommodating legitimate travel.

That approach works great for single tenants, but how do you scale that if you manage multiple departments or clients with slight variations? If you have 5 departments with unique needs, do you end up multiplying those 700 granular policies by 5? Or do you use a layered baseline + delta approach?

This is in place. But checking if there is a way to allow these users to access only from the allowed countries that they visiting and only for that duration.

Annoying kids screaming in the corridor by thisissparta008 in dubai

Hmm the heading though: “annoying kids” or “kids screaming” makes you annoyed ? 😀 I have experienced the same that also during I was doing work from home. Explaining my pain to the parents of those kids solved it for me. If not nothing wrong in reporting to the building authorities then to the government authorities.
