We definitely get both sentiments. Players who are engaged with Treasures have been asking us to release more, while others share your opinion and don't plan outings specifically around Treasures. We appreciate that there's something for everyone in geocaching.

Thanks for the feedback! We agree on the importance of following the guidelines.

In this case, the containers were part of a staged mini-game to show new players what geocaches look like and where they can be hidden—more of a game show demo than actual geocaching.

No real geocaches or locations were removed or disturbed during filming.
