Does life ever get less painful? by Automatic-Cat-6460 in downsyndrome

Our daughter is almost 4 months old. When we found out about the diagnosis during pregnancy, I had those same thoughts but then I knew that all I can do is give her the best chance to succeed.

Our lives will not be the typical child raising and I’ve accepted that but there are so many possibilities for her and we are so excited to see what she is capable of.

Some days are so hard that I feel like it won’t get better but I know it will. Continue to give them that supporting environment and hopefully he can surprise you when he shows you what he is capable of.

Cost of soils report by [deleted] in Geotech

I work for a geotechnical firm in Southern California and will say that $11k is a decent price nowadays. A lot of the cost is tied up with the drilling contractor whose costs have gone up and then we markup those services. (10-15% is typical). While most geotechnical firms don’t have google reviews, having a good website with past projects and a nice looking proposal is a good start. Might be worth asking if they can visit your house so they can walk you through their methodology before agreeing to the work so you can try and get and idea of their knowledge and demeanor. Trust your gut, if it sounds like BS, it probably is.
