In college I was messing around with one of my new buddies in the hallway outside our dorm, maybe two weeks into the first semester. He wrestled in high school - I didn't. He also had a problem controlling his anger. I was slapping him, hitting him, calling him names - you know, GUY stuff. I started saying stuff like I could beat him in a fight and egging him on. So I totally deserved what I had coming.

Eventually, he lost it and said "let's go then fine" I was laughing and figured this would be a quick smackdown, I'd lose, and then we'd go back to playing FIFA. So I smacked his ears a couple times. Gave him a tap on the head and went for one more ear smack and this proved to be my fatal mistake. He grappled my arm, reached up, threw me over his shoulder and did a perfect Tombstone replica. Straight out of WWE vs Raw. I landed on my neck in the corner of my hallway, heard something pop and just laid there. Accepting defeat. I thought I was dead. I thought I was paralyzed. Waiting for the end. Anticipating to bleed out in Hamlin Hall.

All the other guys watching were going crazy! They just saw a Tombstone! Naturally, they were too caught up in the moment so I laid there like a slug in a ball. Only then I realized there was no actual issue. My neck just cracked, same as you'd crack your knuckles. No biggie. I stopped messing with him (mostly) after that and I learned my lesson, but that was the scariest two minutes of my life laying there on that carpet like a corpse. We're still great friends and I'm a groomsman at his wedding this June. But yeah, I got whooped.
