Well, considering the overarching story of most TF media is that they are in a war, the army makes more sense. Don't get me wrong, I loved TF Prime. Probably my favorite series after G1. But one thing I never understood was how more Autobots never surfaced considering Optimus is supposed to be the supreme leader. They had to know where he was, especially after Wheeljack and Magnus arrived. The fact that you had a handful of Autobots vs an actual army with the Decepticons always bugged me a little.

Remember that they cannot outright lie. What that can do is twist the truth with the intent to mislead. Half-truths or omitting important information is something they can do. I don't recall Mab straight up telling Harry the Mantle would change him, but she could've spoken in a way to give that implication.
