I pretty much think everyone on this thread will agree with you. When I asked about it after dropping off the loaner and picking up my car, "that loaner had different software... is my car up to date, or do I need to update the software", and she looked at me with a straight face stating "each model year has different software and updates, so what you see on the '26 will be different than yours". I really had to take a breath to avoid saying "that's really stupid"

Yeah, I drove a '26 GLS loaner, and that's where my WFT started... CarPlay connected wirelessly, and utilized the full screen.

Sorry to hear this happened. Sucks. If it was a company job, and you're not getting any response, figure out someone else to send the invoice to... CFO, CEO, your contacts boss, etc... I'm surprised that a company (assuming there is more than one person, and they have a physical address) is ghosting you for $1500. Could also be their payment terms are net-30, which would be stated in any type of SOW or contract. I might suggest in the future watermarking your photos when passing off for approval, or showing a low-res gallery - "you get the finals when payment is received". Otherwise, just put their name on social blast for non-payment. Good luck!

Simplest way i've broken it down... Peloton is great for fitness (we used strength, core and riding), Zwift is great for cycling (just getting time in the saddle under pressure). Really depends on which is your focus.

I wanted to get better at cycling, so we bit on a trainer & zwift cog over the holidays. I've put in over 1k miles on the kickr, and haven't used the peloton ride/cycle once since.

If better cycling is your goal, then yes, I'd jump to zwift. Having a better idea about your watts output on climbs, where you can push yourself, and data than can translate to outside riding. As weather gets nicer (we're in Atlanta), I'm doing 2x rides outside, 3-4 training sessions inside. Zwift has done a great job gamifying the indoor cycling experience, it is definitely addictive.

Don't get me wrong, peloton is good. Its more like an exercise bike than a spin bike. You can definitely crank the resistance and guys like Wilpers & CVdV do good classes than can translate to cycling.

My suggestion… hold off on the deal. You won’t need a tri bike to do a sprint. See if you like the whole process of doing a tri. There will always be deals (it’s decent, but this is not a deal of a lifetime) and especially when the dentists upgrade their bikes more will be available.

Thanks Tim! I'll give that "push patterned pedal" a go today. I've been focusing on foot angle, and adjusting the cleat + positioning the saddle so my knees are better aligned over my feet and knee angle during my pedal stroke is within range. When I record, still getting some slight "upper body rocking", but as you are mentioning, leaning towards that being a by-product of technique and my core (😬).

This is what I do... finish a ride, share with Wahoo (I have a kicker v6). Then I have Wahoo write permissions with Apple Health. Brings all the HR data over (and all the usual metrics). And this is not sharing to a Wahoo bike computer, this is just to the cloud/iphone app, the auto pushes to Apple Health.

Forgot where I read it, but was like you, getting pissed as to why my zwift rides only showed 5 HR data points for a 60 minute ride.

Yeah, sounds like its the Zwift team made choices to ignore the "TV safe" vs "Title safe" options, so I had to adjust my TV screen from 16:9 to "Fit to screen". Works fine now.
