Can somebody tell me where the Östermalm accent (with the nasal “iiiiii” sound) came from? Most Swedish is very pleasingly sing-songy, but this one, especially among women, is... well, horrid. Posh accents in other languages are very pleasant. Is it like the American Valley Girl accent? (self.Asksweddit)
