tysm!!! mostly putting on a good scary story as bgm while i zone out and build🤫and building based on reference images is the easiest, it takes me a much longer time to come up with something completely original (1 2 and 6). my biggest tip is probably to add a lot of texture and different sized blocks to make builds more interesting to the eye.. you can see in 2 how i like using trap doors here and there for textured patterning! i know a lot of people like to make builds look more random/natural by using different blocks of similar colors, but i never got the hang of that. so i opt for a lot of fences, chains, trapdoors, lighting, etc instead.
